Inland Northwest Vintage Trailer Rally

Inland Northwest Vintage Trailer Rally

Pend Oreille County Park, NE Washington

August 28, 29, 30, 2009

Here is an opportunity for good old fashioned camping in Eastern Washington. This is a camp ground that has not changed in 40-50 years so it will be like the old days of camping. There are no water or electric hook ups but there are several water faucets and hot and cold showers. If you have a generator you might want to bring it but we don’t want you running it past 9PM. The site is in a cedar grove on the side of a hill so we have to limit the size of the trailers to 24’. We have been promised by Pend Oreille County that the sites will be all improved and made wider for trailers this spring. Most of them will have fire pits with free wood. Because of the slopes on some of the parking sites bring wood blocks to block and level your trailer. No one will be out in the sun as there are lots of big trees. There are 400 acres to r un around in and lots of trails for walking.  There will be a limit of 20 trailers and the smaller the better with a limit of 4 trailers over 20’.  This is the first year so we need to see how things work out with trailer sizes.  The camping fee is $10.00 a night and must be paid with cash or check when you arrive. Because of the limited space a prompt reply is needed. Since there will be a limit of 20 trailers or RVs we will need whoever is interested to call or e-mail for reservations. If the limit of 20 is reached a waiting list will be made and if someone drops out the first person on the waiting list will be called and so forth. If we can get 20 vehicles to commit we should have the camp grounds to ourselves. There will be a potluck on Saturday night for anyone that is interested. Bring chairs and a portable table if you have one.

Directions: From I90 East or West take the Division Street (US Hwy 2 East and US Hwy 395 North) exit in Spokane, WA and head North on Division St. It will be 30 miles to the campground exit from I 90. Stay on N. Division for about 5 miles and then get in the right lane. There will be a sign on the right with the words Newport Hwy 2 East. Be sure to go to the right on US Hwy 2. From there it’s another 24.5 miles. Continue on Hwy 2. About 3 miles from where the turn off to the campground is the highway will become a 4 lane divided highway. You are there when you will see a sign that says Pend Oreille County Park LEFT ½ MILE. Turn left off of Hwy 2 into park.
