Those TCT members that can participate in Florida’s 100th Year RV Celebration should contact Tim Heintz, Southeast Representative of Tin Can Tourists.
It sounds like a fun event and will be a great way to promote vintage travel, so please participate if at all possible.
This might be something others might want to promote in their home states.

Subject: Vintage Trailers needed in June for Florida’s 100th Year RV Celebration
Forrest Please forward this out to the members.
I am in need of a few other Tin Can Tourists to display their Vintage Trailers or Motor homes at any of the three major Welcome Centers along I-10, I-75 and I-95 on the Florida State line.
I will be at all three with my 1950 Spartanette, but the State of Florida would like to have a few more at each. The Dates are June 7, 2010 at the I-10 Welcome Center near Pensacola / June 9, 2010 I-75 Ga & Fl Border / June 10, 2010 I-95 Near Jacksonville Fl. & Ga border.
Times for display each day will be from about 10am-2pm, maybe a little longer.
If anyone else can attend even one of these, Please email me at fiftysixhicks@aol.com by April 30th.
The State of Florida is making sure to have lots of newspaper and TV coverage, I would like to be able to have a great show of trailers for the TCT, our history did start in Florida! Florida legislature is also designating June as RV/Camping month in Florida!
(I would love to have an UltraVan there)
