Prince William Forest Park’s Heritage Festival 2012 will take place at
Cabin Camp 3 on October 13th from 11 am to 4 pm. This year’s Festival is
even more special as it is the festival’s 5th anniversary! Prince William
Forest Park is a national park located adjacent to the United States Marine
Corps Base at Quantico, about 20 miles north of Fredericksburg and 35 miles
south of Washington, DC.
I would like to invite you to showcase your antique to our visitors, which
typically number about 1,000 for the event. Heritage Festival highlights
the history and heritage of Prince William Forest Park and our surrounding
region. Though specifically targeted toward the 1930s and 1940s eras in
which our park was founded. The park was founded as a camping area in 1936
and we would like to highlight all aspects of the history of camping.
We may be able to provide a small stipend to cover your time and travel.
We can also lunch the day of the event and, if needed, a free night’s stay
in a cabin the night before or after the event. As soon as we have you
confirmed, we will also add a link to your organization from our website.
Your organization will also be on the brochure that we hand out to each and
every visitor who attends the event. Even more important, we offer the
opportunity for you to tell your story to the hundreds of local residents
If you are not able to attend, I kindly ask that you forward this email
others in your trade who you think may be able to work the event for us.
Please reply to this email if you can or cannot attend. Thank you for your
contributions to our community, and please reply with any questions you may
have. Thank you!
