Fair (Three Stars) - May have some mechanical issues, May have faded paint or dents, Definitely looks used but is still a safe vehicle
More InformationIn 1964 apparently, only about 20 of these Travel Homes were ever made, and of those 20, only about 5 or so had a rear porch such as the one on this unit. (http://tompatterson.com/Streamline/TravelHomes/Registry.php)
There were only around 80 said to have been produced in total between 1964-1967. Production was ceased due to the price of production.
This Travel Car Lodge was #5011, making it the 11th or 12th produced in 1964. The first VIN number appears to have been either 5000 or 5001, with the last number possibly 5084.
The Travel Car Lodge was purchased last as a restoration project, and fell short when the buyer lost interest in the project after removing the interior; it will need a full restoration. The original V8 was replaced with a new 1990 Chevy 454 crated engine, only 6000 miles, and an all new drivetrian Turbo400 tranie. Can start on a can of fuel, but has no brakes, will have to be hauled.
Clear Texas Title, asking $8500 Cash as is, and you arrange your own transportation it will need to be towed.
