More InformationAfter WW-2 the U.S. had a lot of extra aluminum and skilled plane makers. So they decided to make aluminum travel trailers. So Curtis Wright was established. This company was an offshoot of the infamous Wright Bros. They were later taken over by Silver Streak and eventually became Airstream. This 71 year old trailer is a Model 5 and is the 8173rd trailer of this family. It is a rare and original 20 ft. trailer in very good condition. It still has the original floor in good condition and the belly pan is also excellent. The axle, springs, and suspension are all very good. The aluminum body is excellent and can be polished for a great look (see side view with polished panel). All of the windows are intact except for the plexiglass ones which need replacing. There are still a couple of original aluminum cabinets inside. It still has the original fender skirts and extra wide door. This is an excellent candidate for restoration, air B&B, or mobile business and will be very valuable at completion.
