More InformationWe have too many projects and are looking for a new home for our 1974 Kent Cortez so she can get the love she deserves! This girl is a unique front-wheel-drive luxury motorhome powered by a 455 Oldsmobile Toronado engine and GM Turbo-Hydromatic automatic transmission. She is one of only 156 coaches built in 1974; in all, only 3,207 of these big beauties were made from 1963 to 1979. With a GVWR of 11,000 lbs., she is not your average motor home - she has a heavy-duty steel unibody and a solidly-built interior with attention to quality and function. Back in the day, she was the ultimate sophisticated lady, but she has let herself go over the past 40 years and needs a makeover. She ran well when we parked her several years ago but will have to be trailered since tires and brakes are not roadworthy. Condition is definitely on the high end of two stars - there is some rust as is typical for these vehicles, but no dents and all windows are working and intact. Interior is all there but and in ok shape but definitely needs a redo. Full disclosure - exterior pics were taken several years ago. We have manuals with detailed schematics and historical information. We will be sad to see her go but she will make a cool and worthwhile project!
