This is a real Vintage Gem, closer to 5 stars than 4. Born in 1973 Miss Daisy has enjoyed almost 200 hours of TLC renovation, maintaining as much of her original character as possible bringing her to Classic Functionality. Our goal was to create a camper that is better than when it was built 47 years ago. We achieved that by adding gussets to the frame, replaced original wimpy insulation with 1" polystyrene, house wrap material on interior walls, and other insulation. Wiring has been upgraded for new A/C, and added a bathroom vanity with light, added spare tire mount under tongue (you can still add a bike rack), added a portable gray water tote and a sewer hose mount. We have sand blasted and powder coated the wheels, and wrapped the rear bumper in vinyl. We added a propane detector and gauges to each of the recently certified propane tanks. We replaced the original propane water heater with a new Suburban 6 gal. propane heater, and added a new water pump. We put on new tires, including having the wheels sand blasted and powder coated paint. It has a 2 year old battery, with new trailer wiring feature a 7 pt. plug, all lights work and are dependable. Even though we got the original propane heater to work we replaced it for safety with a nifty electric, 1500 watt fireplace type space heater with a thermostat. We enjoy the flames as a nightlite.
