1953 28' Platt Trail-A-home

I've recently inherited this awesome find! It's in amazing shape considering its age. Everything works! It's 28 ft tongue to tail. There aren't many Platt's around and this would make a fun project for someone who appreciates all the little features in the trailer.

This trailer was sedentary and used as a guest bedroom since 1973 when it was purchased from the previous owners. Placed between large pines and adjacent to a cabin the exterior is well preserved. The only modifications made were for a radiator and an evap cooler, which was placed on the roof. The interior wood is remarkably good shape. The floors are sturdy but warped, with no rot or holes.

We had to disconnect everything from the house and take off the evap cooler to move it. Put on new wheels/tires to move it but I still have the original wheels that can be put back on.

Very cool restoration project with lots of unique features like oval ventilation windows and submarine outer doors still intact, original glass.

Asking $8,000 OBO - make an offer!

Please reach out if you have any questions or happen to know about the Platt brand! Thanks for looking!
