This beautiful piece of history is a 1957 Catolac Deville “Canned Ham” tailer. Deville trailers were manufactured by Catolac Corporation in El Mote, California from 1927 to 1970. It is a single axle trailer that is 13’ and an approximate towing weight of 1,700lbs. Being so small and lightweight this model is easy to tow and manoeuvre. The trailer was restored 8 years ago with a professional paint job on the exterior and remodeled interior. Original stove/oven, ice box, windows, screen door and light fixtures all in working order. Complete with 120 volt electrical system and gas light. Floors do not have any soft spots; axles are good and flipped to give higher clearance and wheel bearing repacked. There was some light water damage when we originally purchased the trailer which is why we relined the wood ceiling. Roof has been re-sealed, windows and roof hatch removed and re-sealed. Sink is equipped with a faucet for potable water hook up and a hand pump to access a new water storage tank below master bed. Walls have fresh paint, new flooring, and upholstery on the dinnette. The trailer can sleep 3 adults comfortably or two adults and few children with a full-size bed in the rear, dining table that can be broken down into a bed, and a removable cot over the rear master bed. For its size, the trailer has a lot of storage space to offer. The camper was restored by a family who loves spending time in the outdoors and has wear and tear that is reasonable for its age.
