Wow! Look all you want but you won't find a better deal at $6000!
I have lost my work space and am forced to sell my camper. My loss is your Gain!
Available for renovation: 1948 Glider Travel Trailer in the Bread Loaf Style.
Glider Trailer Company ( 1932- late 1950’s) Chicago, Illinois
As the photos indicate I have done a lot of the major renovation including removal of all the damaged materials, replacing wood panels where needed, updating the sink plumbing line,
painting the exterior, and prepping the roof.
There is work left to be done. When completed this camper will be worth twice what I am asking.
The roof. This is really a two person job. There are many options for the final materials including aluminum and roll rubber. See pics for work completed.
Wheels. You will eventually need to replace the old style split rim wheels. Any RV shop should be able to do this for you. This will not tow far. You will need a flatbed to transport or put new rims and wheels on before hauling.
Floor. I’ve included enough floor tile to do the entire camper. These are quality tiles in a retro pattern. (See photo)
Trailer running lights. Not working. Original glass marker lights and brake light intake.
Electric. I did not rewire the camper. I did put in a new outside plug in receptacle.
Water. I put in a city water outlet and plumed the cold water with pex.
Propane. Have tested okay the stove and oven.
Frig. Plugged it in and it seems to be fine. Will need door gasket.
