Up for sale collectable 1947 Mobilglide travel trailer.1947 Mobilglide Globetrotter. 12' long cabin. Aircraft aluminum framed and skinned, torsion bar suspension. Built in Culver City, California. It's light and pretty straight for it's age. Only 14 are known to exist. I started the restoration on it over the years but am being realistic about never getting it finished because of other projects. It needs a good home and to be finished up. I striped the floor out, welded in another cross member to make it more sturdy, POR 15'd the framed, new wheel bearings, powder coated rims, new shocks, new tires, installed oil primed, Baltic birch floor, added original 1930-40s linoleum carefully rescued from an old home, did the rough wiring, insulated the walls, and made it through a fair amount of skinning it with flamed birch panels and making custom cabinets. I have a mahogany countertop started, the original enameled sink, a working, newer, but fitting, three burner stove, and a brand new icebox. There some water damage by the door. It is sold as is where is, description is the best of my knowledge with no warranties print or implied. Price negotiable or best offer.
