1946 Mobile Glide Travel Trailer made by American Manufacturing of Culver City, California. Original exterior shell and interior shell are made of aluminum. As far as we can tell, this is one of fourteen known left to exist. All windows have plexiglass panes replacing the original plate glass. One window has the original screen. All windows but one open. The original ceiling vent is intact and functions. Multiple layers of interior lead paint have been meticulously removed. The interior is bare aluminum with a recently installed linoleum flooring. Some interior panels have some small holes from modifications. The trailer insulation tests negative for asbestos (we have test results). The original painted stripes can be seen on the trailer's exterior. They are faded but intact. The exterior shell is oxidized and has minor dings, some small holes and minor dents. The edging along the bottom of the trailer is mostly intact. Included with the trailer is the original split rim tub tires, the wheel skirts and the original taillights and marker lights. After market tubeless rims and tires are currently on the trailer for towing. The original awning bracket is attached to the roof. The door functions and has the original latch and hardware. This trailer is ready for a full restoration or modification. It would make an excellent small mobile retail shop or mobile cafe. It would certainly pair nicely with a vintage 1940's automobile. Serious calls and offers only. Cash only.
