We are selling our 1958 Silver Streak Clipper. We have taken this trailer all over the West and it is very fun, iconic looking and easy to tow. This is a 24 foot model meaning the entire length is 24' and the body itself is 20'. A very nice size for towing and it sleeps 4 people comfortably.
We bought it several years ago and did a frame off restoration meaning we pulled the body off the frame. Because this was a park model and originally had none, we added holding tanks for black, gray and fresh water. The fresh tank is 40 gallons, 17 gallons black and 30 gallon gray tanks. The subfloor was also completely replaced after the frame was sanded and resealed with POR15. Additionally, all the inner skin was removed, paint was stripped and the ceiling was polished. While the skin was off all new wiring, plumbing and insulation was added. New metal was used on a couple of damaged panels. After the skin was reattached to the interior, the lower portion was repainted with gray Zolatone and the upper portion was left polished.
The entire interior of the trailer was rebuilt and reconfigured as follows:
-Queen bed moved to back with tons of storage underneath.
-All new cabinets constructed with birch plywood and stainless steel inserts.
-New wet bath constructed on drivers side with stainless steel interior.
-Two fantastic fans
-All new kitchen with Marmoleum countertop and dinette.
-12K BTU furnace.
-6 Gallon hot water heater.
