Famous 1949 Curtis Wright Advertising Trailer

This 1949 Clipper is the most famous trailer Curtis Wright ever built....The Advertising Trailer....It was built solely to photograph for their advertising, so it needed to be painted all over to cut glare, to show off the distinctive SWOOSH stripe and grab your attention in print. And grab attention it would and does. Imagine this restored and going down the highway. The most distinctive trailer of the highly desired alien eyes design, considered to be one of the most beautiful vintage trailers ever. I have owned this trailer for over 10 years and have used parts from other Curtis Wright trailers being restored to keep this usable for us while it waited in line for its turn to be built. It is clear full of 76 years of sorta fixes, get bys, and make doos to keep it useful its whole life, and not abandoned like most. It lived in the high desert of Arizona until I got it and those last Arizona 20 years the floor was strengthened with 2x6 so it could be used as a lawn mower engine rebuild shop!!!!! I replaced the discarded bunks, added a porta potti bathroom, built some apple box cabinets and used it for overnight car shows being pulled by several different patina or rat rod trucks. The combination was a hit every where we went and lots of fun.
