Hi all,
I am selling my late father's beloved 1947 Modernistic teardrop. He owned it for the last 20 years and put a lot of time and effort into maintaining it and keeping it nice for the many car and trailer shows he would attend. Unfortunately he's not around anymore, and I'd love to see it go to a new home where someone could enjoy it.
Thing is, I really don't know much about it and, other than a binder of ephemera and receipts Dad kept I'm kind of flying blind. It is assembled with aircraft rivets, which I gather means it was built at the factory as opposed to a kit model. The interior wood is all original as far as I am aware, and is in nice shape for it's age, with the usual dings you'd expect. I could not locate any major areas of rust, and I believe it has been a SoCal trailer it's whole life.
The signals/electric work, and I just put a new harness plug on it. It has a set of brand new tires, and since the photos were taken I have replaced the missing driver side rear lens cover with a vintage one matching the other side. I wish I had the time to polish it to the mirror shine he used to keep it at, but you can imagine!

Feel free to ask me any questions and I will do my best to answer them, although you all probably know more than I do. The asking price is OBO based on the very limited other examples I was able to see online. Thanks for checking it out!
