CANCELLED – Grandville Vintage Festival (street rally)
August 7 – August 9
CANCELLED DUE TO THE PANDEMIC – it will happen next year…
We have been invited to be a part of Grandville Michigan’s largest Festival. Every August they close down Chicago Drive from Wilson to Division and fill the street with vendors, food trucks, live bands, and kid’s activities. And every year they feature different vintage vehicles. They showcased campers their very first year, and they were a huge hit. They are looking for 10-12 campers to show again this year. If we get more than 12 people interested in attending we will throw names in a hat and draw them out!
Logistics: They close Chicago Drive at 12:00 pm on Friday, and they ask all campers to arrive between 12:00 and 2:00. This allows full access for staging before the vendors begin setting up their tents and wares. Campers will be parked together with doors facing the middle of the street. No stakes will be allowed, but if you can attach an awning without them, they would be happy to accommodate. You are free to stay with your camper and chat with event goers or to roam the event. We can place signs up that say Please do not Touch, and since all campers are displayed together, it will be easy for a neighbor to keep an eye on your camper if you would like to stroll. We will have a camper open house on Saturday from 11-2, you can open your camper for people to go in or can just open door with a rope and allow people to peak in. Public restrooms will be available during regular business hours. After hours, only port-a-johns. You are welcome to sleep in your camper or head home and return Saturday morning. There is power available for campers – each light pole has a power plug we can plug in to and you would need to bring extension cords for this. They hire overnight security, so someone will be watching your property. There are plenty of restaurants in our downtown. There will also be Food Truck options.
Their event team will greet you all with a welcome basket including two food truck certificates for Friday or Saturday use. And they will have doughnuts and coffee available to us Saturday morning.
Entertainment for the weekend is built in. See the line-up below.
