Tin Can Tourists’ Rollin’ Through the Decades Rally

October 7 @ 8:00 AM October 10 @ 5:00 PM

Join the Tin Can Tourists and Topsail Hill Preserve State Park for a Rally weekend full of fun, including our annual shuffleboard tournament.
Campsites are ALL paved full hookup with water, sewer, 30/50 amp electric and cable TV. This park use to be a Private high end RV resort located on Santa Rosa Beach and bought out by the state many years ago. It is the nicest Campground owned by the state of Florida. ($42.00 per night regular rate, $21.00 per night for FL Senior or FL Disabled)
The park has everything from white sand beaches, beach trolley system, shuffle board, basket ball courts, freshwater fishing ponds, swimming pool, walking trails, club house, near by to Destin FL with great shopping outlets, Seaside FL (30A), and only about 40 minuets west of Panama City Beach and their Pier Park complex!
Rally Fee: $20 for Tin Can Tourist members + $25 for non-Tin Can Tourist members which includes a one-year membership to TCT. (Rally fee does NOT include your campsite reservation)
Rally Hosts: Alex Alexander & Tim Heintz

PLEASE READ BELOW FOR DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING RSVP.
This year we will have to start out with our members making their own RSVP through the regular Reserve America phone number / website. The first day you may make your RSVP will be November 7th 2020 if you are planing to arrive on Oct 7th 2021 as the RSVP window only opens up 11 months prior to your planned arrival, but if you are arriving early you may book up to 11 month early to the day…..for example I am booking a full week so I made my RSVP TODAY (11/3/2020) since I am staying 10/3/2021-10/9/2021 so be sure to book your sight AS SOON AS POSSIBLE based on your planned arrival date. You can view all the campsites at https://floridastateparks.reserveamerica.com/…/campgrou…• If you are eligible for one of the park discounts (FL Senior and/or FL Disabled), please let the operator know when you make the RSVP. You will also have to show proof when you check into the park.
• Once your RSVP has been made you will need to send the attached TCT registration to TCT.Heintz@gmail.com after you finalize your site reservation so you can officially register with TCT for the Rally.
Any questions please don’t hesitate to ask!

Due to a Florida State Park policy change we will no longer have a large (100+ site) section blocked off for our event. All our members will have to make their own RSVPs using the Reserve America website or the regular Reserve America phone number (1-800-326-3521), there will be no special event number for the 2021 event. This also means we will be competing for such sites with the rest of the public so please make your RSVPs ASAP! The state will only allow RSVPs to be made 11 months in advance. So if you plan on arriving at the park Oct 7th you will not be able to make your RSVP until November 7th 2020 but if you are arriving early like the 5th or 6th of Oct 2021 then you may make your RSVP on November 5th or 6th of this week. OR you may book your RSVP today for Oct 3rd-Oct 10th 2021 and then in a few weeks you may cancel any extra days you do not need…..this is a loophole in the system that allows you to book a wider window of days to cover the rally dates then cancel a week or two later the extra days you do not plan on using. If for some reason you go to book your site in the coming days and it appears that the entire park is sold out, please email us and let us know as we have managed to secure 25 additional sites for the TCT but are holding on to these until all other sites are reserved to maximize the number of members who can come to the event. Official event registration will be emailed and uploaded to Facebook later, right now our top priority is making sure as many members as possible can reserve a site. Sorry for the last minute information but we have been waiting on the state park system’s response.
