The area consists of Sites – 45 to 54 – these sites are restricted for trailers that have features that make them flammable. DESCRIPTION:Fellow campers the time has come to finalize your reservation with Ozarkoutdoors. If you have requested a specific site\, please let them know which site you have “reserved.” Their number again is 15732456837 or you may visit their web page at https://ozarkoutdoorsresort.com/. \n\n\n\nI’m truly excited to camp\, meet new friends\, and reconnect with old friends! \n\n\n\nFellow Campers\, below is a list of everyone who has registered to date. If you are planning to attend and your name is not on this list\, I urge you to contact Ozark Outdoors as soon as possible while there are still a few sites available for our group. If you have a friend who is looking for a fun rally\, encourage them to attend. Campers should be pre 1980 (or based on a pre 1980 design). Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We have a great rally planned. Stacy Drane has volunteered to plan a variety of fun activities for all who choose to participate. As always\, there will be river floating\, cave tours\, hiking and other fun activities available at the Resort as well. We will provide donuts and coffee Friday and Saturday morning as well as campfires at the group site in the evenings. Saturday we will have an open house mid-day (hours to be announced). Be prepared to show off your pride and joy camper to your camper friends. There will also be a potluck dinner Saturday night. We look forward to camping with all of you in June. \n\n\n\nAs a reminder\, there will be a rally fee of $20 per camper to help defray the costs of the group site and group activities. We have reserved sites 1-131 and they will be held until March 13th and then whatever is left will be open to the public. SUMMARY:Function at the Junction Rally
DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION CLOSED ON AUGUST 1\, 2023 \n\n\n\nFormer TCT Leaders Forrest & Jeri Bone will be part of the 2023 Hall of Fame Inductees with a ceremony on Monday August 21st at the RV Museum in Elkhart Indiana. \n\n\n\nForrest and Jeri Bone in front of their 1949 American\n\n\n\nTo celebrate this event\, Tin Can Tourists and the Vintage Airstream Club members are invited to camp at the museum and take part in the festivities. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe rally will be held on the grounds of the museum. Dry camping or electric only will be available. Potable water available and two dump stations are available on-site. Hoses for trailer washing and cleanup will be available. A large enclosed pavilion with banquet room will be available for us to use that has air conditioning\, bathrooms and meeting facilities.  \n\n\n\nShower facilities have been procured. Planet Fitness is not far the Museum and they will have agreed to provide guest passes for the duration of the event for $20 per person.   \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nInduction Ceremony Tickets are available for a discount through the rally registration form. We are bundling the tickets together and purchasing entire tables so all of the rally participants will be seated together. Dress code is business casual and vintage attire is encouraged for our rally participants. Have fun with it. SUMMARY:7th Annual Shadow of the Bear Rally
DESCRIPTION:We are very excited for TCT’s 2023 Shadow Of The Bear Rally at Orchard Beach State Park.  The park and Tin Can Tourists have been friends for over a century.  Last year was wonderful\, we had such a good time!  Many of our campsites have a view of Lake Michigan. As we sat at our campsites\, enjoying each others company\, we watched the eagles soar\, riding on the thermals over the lake.  It was so cool!  We enjoyed taking our meals in the moved and refreshed Pavilion.  The size of the Pavilion will accommodate all of us – as many of us as are in attendance can enjoy our meals together.  Because the local area is so beautiful\, our agenda allows for lots of “touristing” time.  The park’s rangers have recommended a block of sites for our gathering. They are highlighted in white on the site map at the end of this letter. The area consists of Sites – 45 to 54 – these sites are restricted for trailers that have features that make them flammable. DESCRIPTION:The Annual Gathering Rally of the Tin Can Tourists is the oldest\, longest running vintage trailer rally in the country. \n\n\n\nWhat’s new for 2024?\n\n\n\n\nYou can pay by credit card this year if you’d prefer. The process to use your credit card will be that you fill out the registration form and send it by email. Once received we will create an invoice for the amount owed and email that to you for payment. Please complete the payment of the invoice once received. \n\n\n\nRally T-Shirt – you can order a rally t-shirt as part of registration. The t-shirt is designed by a TCT member (Carolle Spence) and we will have fabric markers available throughout the rally for you to color and personalize your shirt. \n\n\n\nThere is no “fall hold” this year to reserve your site for the fall rally. We had to track down too many people to pay their rally fee and/or the camping fees and we don’t want to do that again. Please ask to join the Western Illinois Vintage Trailer Rally Facebook group for more information. For trailers and RVs 1978 and older.  \n\n\n\nI hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! It is time to start thinking about registration for the rally\, which will start Tuesday Jan. 16\, 2024. The campground rates like everything else has increased. So the rally fee is $120 this year which includes 3 nights camping\, water & electric\, and coffee\, donuts\, etc.I have attached the registration form and instructions below. Just print out a copy\, fill it out\, and mail it with payment. Start mailing your forms on Tuesday Jan. 16th. Once full\, I will start a wait list. We usually fill up quickly\, and I hope we do this year.This is plenty of notice for our snowbirds. No special exceptions\, everyone is subject to the same rules.

SUMMARY:2024 Silver Avion Fellowship Rally
DESCRIPTION:The dates of the Silver Avion Fellowship for 2024 in Elkhart\, Indiana have been set.  We will be gathering at Elkhart Campground on beginning Thursday\, July 18 until Sunday July 21.   Official registration won’t begin until the first week of April\, but I wanted everyone to know in advance so you can plan to attend.   \n\n\n\nWe ended up this year with 28 units.  Had everyone who registered showed up we would have had 35 units.   \n\n\n\nWe hope to see old friends and new friends next year. \n\n\n\nTerry Prentkowski
