SUMMARY:8th Annual "Campin' the Cumberland Vintage Camper Rally
DESCRIPTION:Somernites Cruise and General Burnside Island State Park are proud to announce the 8th Annual “Campin’ the Cumberland Vintage Camper Rally”!! September 26th-29th\, 2024 at General Burnside Island State Park!! This was a new location for us last year and it was great!! We are excited to be back there!! \n\n\n\nLast years rally saw over 40 vintage campers and was a great success and we are excited for this years event!! \n\n\n\nThurs Sept 26th is check in day. The day is open for setup and to explore the area (and we have a lot to see including Cumberland Falls\, Big South Fork scenic Railway\, Historic Mill Springs Grist Mill\, Mill Springs Civil War Battlefield\, Haney’s Appledale Farms\, etc.) all within a 10 minute to 45 minute drive of the campground. \n\n\n\nFriday Sept 27th is when we have open house scheduled from 2:30 to 5:30. We will be promoting the open house to anyone in our community who may want to come see the campers so bring all your vintage camping supplies\, coolers\, etc.!! You can even set up and sell your goods if you want to!! There is a $10 fee that the Park has to charge if you want to sell items. \n\n\n\nSaturday September 28th is the Somernites Cruise event in historic downtown Somerset (again about 10 minutes from the campground). Gates open at 12:00 (noon). We would like to have about 7-10 really nice vintage campers along with vintage tow vehicles to come display downtown (we understand that means you have to break down and set up again downtown). Our September show is always one of our largest of the year!! We usually have between 1\,000 -1\,500 classic/collector cars & trucks at our September show. If campers prefer not to attend the Somernites Cruise event and would rather explore the community and other attractions that’s OK too. Again\, all Somernites Cruise events are free. Saturday night we will have a pot-luck dinner for all campers. More details will be announced as we get closer to the event!! \n\n\n\nGeneral Burnside Island State Park is offering a 15% discount per night!! We appreciate them working with us!! We currently have 60 campsites blocked off so make your reservations early to ensure you get a site!! Reservations can be made by calling the Campground office at 606-561-3625 or the business office at 606-561-4104. Be sure to tell them that you are booking for the “Campin’ the Cumberland Vintage Camper Rally” to get the discounted rate!! You must call to book one of the reserved sites. If no one answers leave a message and someone will get back to you. DESCRIPTION:24th Annual Mt. Baker Vintage Trailer Rally. Washington State’s Largest Vintage Trailer Rally held every year the weekend after Labor Day at the NW Washington Fairgrounds in Lynden\, WA. The Dates are Sept 3-9\, 2024! This is field camping with no assigned spots. You will register when you arrive. Showers\, restrooms and a rv dump station are on site. Pioneer Park in Brownsville is one of the oldest City Parks in Oregon.The park sits along the Calyapoya river. This being a city park there are no RV spaces? You camp where you want. Sounds crazy ? Everyone that comes loves it. We provide power for everyone along with showers. There are bathrooms throughout the park. We are 500 feet from the town . There you will find restaurants and antique stores. This is a family oriented rally. Bring your kids or grandkids we will keep them busy all week. We have street bowling\, s’mores night\, the amazing race and we can’t forget the pie eating contest for kids. We also have open mic and karaoke. We also have movie night. And yes you can setup a tent behind your trailer for the kids. We call this the family rally!

DESCRIPTION:We had such a great time last year decided to do it one more year at Chenango Valley State Park. Laid back group campout. Make your own reservations but so that we don’t all try for the same site I will start a post for everyone to pick their site. . I will probably do a week because I want to play golf. This is a great park and the loop we camp in Pine bluff is an excellent spot. that’s a little more secluded for our group. I am going to look into renting the pavilion above Pine bluff for a potluck brunch. Or I may find out if I can put a 10×20 carport up in the grassy area and get in a couple extra picnic tables for that which would be easier.

So the rally fee is $120 this year which includes 3 nights camping\, water & electric\, and coffee\, donuts\, etc.I have attached the registration form and instructions below. Just print out a copy\, fill it out\, and mail it with payment. Start mailing your forms on Tuesday Jan. 16th. Once full\, I will start a wait list. We usually fill up quickly\, and I hope we do this year.This is plenty of notice for our snowbirds. No special exceptions\, everyone is subject to the same rules.

SUMMARY:10th TIME LAKE HAVASU CITY VINTAGE TRAILER RALLY/CAMPOUT
DESCRIPTION:Beautiful setting on the beach! \n\n\n\nCome join the fun!!  First timers are always welcomed!  No dues\, no meetings. \n\n\n\nWe look forward to seeing everyone!! No saving sites\, it is first come\, first pick. \n\n\n\nAll vintage trailers\, buses\, campers before 1977 are welcomed.  Tear drops and airstreams are welcome regardless of age.  Old cars are welcome if they are coming with a vintage trailer. \n\n\n\nWhat to expect\, a gathering of vintage trailers\, along the beach\, coffee in the morning at the group area. \n\n\n\nDo not need to reserve\, pay when you arrive $25.00 per night for camping. \n\n\n\nCheck in starting at noon on Thursday\, Feb. 1\, check out by 1100am on Sunday\, Feb. 4th. No early birds please. \n\n\n\nDogs are permitted with leash on (not on the white sand at the beach) \n\n\n\nThis is a non-hook up campout\, dry camping\, there will be a plug in to plug in cell phones\, etc. Power available for medical devices only. \n\n\n\nThere are showers and restrooms available. \n\n\n\nMeet and greet 4:00pm (Arizona time) Friday\, Feb. 2nd at the covered area\, bring an appetizer to share. \n\n\n\nPot luck Saturday\, Feb. 3rd\, 5:00pm (Arizona time) covered area. \n\n\n\nOpen House to the public from 10am until 2:00pm on Saturday Feb. 3rd \n\n\n\n( Please move modern vehicles to a designated area by 9:30am) \n\n\n\n$3.00 per person or $5.00 per car to come to the “open house” on Saturday \n\n\n\nPropane fire pits are allowed. \n\n\n\nFor the hikers there is a nice hiking trail within walking distance of our camp out\, with fantastic views.  Cactus garden at the park. \n\n\n\nSunday large swap meet nearby\, starts early\, on London Bridge Road. \n\n\n\nNice beach walks. \n\n\n\nCall (360) 708-7495\, or e-mail anytime  jra@cnw.com or Mike at (509) 945-4698
