SUMMARY:2024 27th Annual Gathering
DESCRIPTION:The Annual Gathering Rally of the Tin Can Tourists is the oldest\, longest running vintage trailer rally in the country. \n\n\n\nWhat’s new for 2024?\n\n\n\n\nYou can pay by credit card this year if you’d prefer. The process to use your credit card will be that you fill out the registration form and send it by email. Once received we will create an invoice for the amount owed and email that to you for payment. Please complete the payment of the invoice once received. \n\n\n\nRally T-Shirt – you can order a rally t-shirt as part of registration. The t-shirt is designed by a TCT member (Carolle Spence) and we will have fabric markers available throughout the rally for you to color and personalize your shirt. \n\n\n\nThere is no “fall hold” this year to reserve your site for the fall rally. We had to track down too many people to pay their rally fee and/or the camping fees and we don’t want to do that again. Fall registration will open July 1st.\n\n\n\nCzapski’s Kitchen Cafe & Catering will be providing the catered meal on Friday night. We are excited to find a local Milford restaurant with a great selection to feed us before we hit the dance floor.\n\n\n\nBack by popular demand\, The Icemen Band featuring our very own Chuck Rivet will be rocking the tent on Friday night\n\n\n\nThe theme committee chose “Dress like Stanley & Helen Roper” as the theme this year. Start your thrifting for sweater vests and kaftans now!\n\n\n\n\nRegistration Form and Process\n\n\n\nREGISTRATION CLOSED ON MAY 1st \n\n\n\nAgenda\n\n\n\n2024-27th-Annual-GatheringDownload\n\n\n\nRoster\n\n\n\n103 sites filled\, 185 people attending \n\n\n\nSITE #Name3Coats6Johnson9Richards11Gelletly16Celini18McKnee19Martin20Jernigan21Brown22Byrnes25Kole28Frame37Higgins43Hake44Shanahan45Bergman46Smiley47Hindley48Haneckow49OConnor50Hershberger51Bailey53Garlow54Solsbury55Curtis56Chetcuti57White II58Warren59Haeske61Kelly65Murphy66Kessler67Kennedy68Fredlund69Fillwock71Binkley72Krusac74Ferkany75Dettmann80Senior81Carlton82Starner84Cavanaugh92Gould94DuHame96Warner97Broxon98Miller99Truitt100Brechtelsbauer101DuHame102Mackie103Cousins105Howard106Brian108Bone109COFFEE STATION110Chabot111Elsey112Demane/Plosker113McFarland114Rivet115Roth116Eliot117Kane118Sandin119Brown120Poshadlo121Koenig122Williams123Mangold126Nelson130Miklautsch131Lidster132Gruener133Smith134Waters135Turner136Thomas137Fodell138Schrader139Rodzewicz140Piper141Diller142Cushing143Spycher144Sanborn145Coulter146Pray147Kwapich148Wendt150Klauss151Fiore152Sibo153Dunn154Chojnowski155McCool156Ryan157McCool158CAMP DEARBORN159Black160Moomey161Olmsted\n\n\n\nFacebook group for the event: TCT Spring and Fall Rallies (Camp Dearborn – Milford Michigan) | Facebook \n\n\n\nHere is a map of the campground\n\n\n\ncampdearbornmap \n\n\n\n“No Burn Zone”\n\n\n\nThe “no burn zone” is a small area that we don’t allow campfires to protect the trailers that are not resistant to sparks or embers. Join the club here: TCT Membership – Tin Can Tourists \n\n\n\nIn 2024\, the campground is blocking off 50 sites for us to group closer together. The park loved having us and were really supportive of the event. \n\n\n\nRegistration Process\n\n\n\nStep 1) Get your camp site using the Michigan State Park Reservation System (https://www.midnrreservations.com/) or by calling 1-800-447-2757 (1-800-44PARKS) \n\n\n\nThe Group Hold code has expired – the process now is to get any campsite available and then go to step 2. \n\n\n\nGROUP HOLD: Lumberjack2024 \n\n\n\nThe hold code applies to 50 sites that are grouped together for the club. You are more than welcome to get any other site that is nearby if you’d prefer or if you have a need that another site might provide – like a 50amp site\, handicap site or a site closer to the bathroom/showers. \n\n\n\nSITE 136 – Host: Terry and Michelle Bone \n\n\n\nSITE 194 – Morning Coffee: Steve Brown & Sandy Masten (no dogs allowed at coffee) \n\n\n\nStep 2) RSVP that you’re attending by emailing tct1919@gmail.com and let us know what campsite you ended up with – we’d like to know how many are coming for the welcome packets and coffee/treat planning! \n\n\n\nThis is a casual weekend and open house (12-3pm) to get introduced to the state park and local community. We will be planning on a few group activities: Molkky Tournament\, a Happy Hour\, New Member initiation\, and coffee will be provided. Agenda will be posted a few months out from the event. \n\n\n\nTentative Agenda\n\n\n\nThursday\n\n\n\n\n6pm Pickup – Welcome Packet at Rally Host Campsite (136) – collecting $10 rally fee for Coffee / Morning Treats and cocktail hour snacks. You can join the club here: TCT Membership – Tin Can Tourists \n\n\n\nLast year we had a large amount of non-members that somehow booked sites. Please do not share the registration link with friends\, you are taking away opportunities from our TCT members. That is the purpose of the rally. If you want to camp with personal friends\, you can do that any weekend. If you have friends that want to camp with us during the rally\, just have them join the club – it really is that simple. \n\n\n\nWagener County Park staff loved having us at their beautiful park on Lake Huron and have invited us back in 2023.  \n\n\n\nRegistration Process: \n\n\n\nRegistration will open on November 2nd. Complete these TWO simple steps: \n\n\n\n\nWe will send out registration information on November 2nd by email to TCT members only. This will give our TCT members the information first before it gets shared publicly. Do not share the information on social media.\n\n\n\nUse this link to book your site (will be available on November 4th on the website if sites are still available)\n\n\n\nEmail us at tct1919@gmail.com and let us know what site you booked to be included on the roster.\n\n\n\n\nA modest rally fee of $10 will be collected at the park to pay for morning coffee & treats and a few activities. \n\n\n\nAGENDA \n\n\n\n2024-Thumbs-Up-Rally-1Download\n\n\n\n\nCoffee/Treats each morning\n\n\n\nFarmers Markets\n\n\n\nYard Game on Friday evening\n\n\n\nCrazy theme for Friday’s games\n\n\n\nExciting prizes and awards\n\n\n\nOpen House on Saturday\n\n\n\nLight house and brewery/winery tours\n\n\n\nChilling by the campfire\n\n\n\n\nMake sure you read and understand their refund rules for the campsites. \n\n\n\nROSTER – TBD means a booked site but we weren’t informed of who is camping there. SUMMARY:TCT’s SHADOW OF THE BEAR
DESCRIPTION:Rally hosts:  Rebecca Shrode & Paul Lashbrook \n\n\n\nContact info:  e-mail is Rebecca@BrookRode.com or send a message to https://www.facebook.com/RebeccaShrode \n\n\n\nTCT’s 8th Annual Shadow Of The Bear RallyOrchard Beach State Park\, Manistee\, MichiganSeptember 19 to 22\, 2024We are very excited for TCT’s 8th Annual Shadow Of The Bear Rally at beautiful Orchard Beach State Park in Manistee\, Michigan.  Last year was wonderful!  The weather was Pure Michigan Autumn perfect!  Orchard Beach is a wonderful state park and perfect to be the home of Shadow Of The Bear.  The campground is located on the top of a sand dune; many of our campsites have a view of Lake Michigan. We sit at our campsites enjoying each other’s company\, we watch the eagles soar while riding on the thermals over the lake.  It is so cool!  We enjoy taking our meals in the moved and refreshed Pavilion.  The size of the Pavilion will accommodate all of us – as many of us as are in attendance can enjoy our meals together.  \n\n\n\nTCT’s Shadow Of The Bear is a unique rally.  Because the local area is so beautiful\, our agenda allows for lots of “touristing” time. Orchard Beach State Park is a beautiful destination on its own for a vacation.  There are wineries & craft breweries nearby\, cute small towns to visit\, and beauty all around.  Our agenda is simple.  We gather together for breakfast and share our plans for the day.  Most of the day is free for what we call “touristing.”  We come back together for dinner and share our adventures of the day.  Each evening we gather round campfires.  Perfect Fall camping in one of the most beautiful parts of Michigan. \n\n\n\nA couple housekeeping reminders: 1)  To reserve a site: log into your account in the State’s reservation system https://midnrreservations.com/ and use the Group Hold function. \n\n\n\nThe Group Hold Code is:  Shadow2024The hold is for sites in the “A-H\, 28-77\, 108-136\, Cabins” section of the campground map.\n\n\n\nThe group hold will remain in place until April 16\, 2024.  The open sites will be available to the public. The campsites at Orchard Beach are large and feel spread out.  Last year\, we discussed getting our group closer together.  We thought clustering around the Hostess/Host site would be best.  Please reserve your site as near to the host site #120 as possible. \n\n\n\nTCT’s Shadow Of The Bear is September 19 to 22.  You are invited to come early and stay late.  See you there!!!!!2)  Rally fee:  $45:  you can pay by PayPal. Our PayPal user name is ContactUs@BrookRode.com   \n\n\n\nYou may also send a check.  If you use the USPS\, please mail the check sooner rather than later.  \n\n\n\nAddress is:  Rebecca Shrode\, 19019 Waite Blvd. South Bend\, IN  46637.  \n\n\n\nPlease note:  rally fees are due before the event happens because most of the expenses for the rally happen before the gathering begins. \n\n\n\nThe first 7 Shadow Of The Bear rallies were so much fun.  We relaxed\, made new friends\, grew existing friendships\, enjoyed lively conversation\, and generally had a really good time.  We are looking forward to the 8th Annual TCT Shadow Of The Bear Rally being the best yet!Safe travels & happy camping!Rebecca & Paul  \n\n\n\nIvory  \n\n\n\n$45 Rally Fee \n\n\n\nRebecca Shrode \n\n\n\nView Organizer Website \n\n\n\nRebecca@BrookRode.com

(Registration attached) We are happy to be returning to the Robinson Ranch right on the Withlacoochee Riverside between downtown Dunnellon Florida and Inglis Florida. Generators will be allowed in the Dry Camping area only and designated hours to run generators will be 9am-11am and 6pm-8pm only please. There is a dump station on site for all members to use.   \n\n\n\nThis year we will also have additional port-o-lets for the dry camping area\, sites furthest from the bathrooms\, and close to the pavilion.  \n\n\n\nWe are also working on the possibility of having Golf Cart rentals for members\, but more details will be sent out if these options can be secured.  \n\n\n\nIf you do not pick up your registration bag on Wednesday you may pick it up at the gate on Thursday from 11am-5pm or at the Thursday evening Meet and Greet  \n\n\n\nVOLUNTEERS: \n\n\n\nWe do need volunteers to help during the event. SUMMARY:5th Annual Thumbs Up Rally
DESCRIPTION:In 2024\, the rally sold out in two days. \n\n\n\nThis rally is always the last full weekend in July! \n\n\n\nHow to be added to the waitlist for the rally – Go here https://huroncountyparks.com/waiting-list to join the list\, or email info@huroncountyparks.com or leave a message at 888-265-2583 \n\n\n\n—– \n\n\n\nYou must be a TCT Member to attend this event.
