Dress code is business casual and vintage attire is encouraged for our rally participants. Have fun with it. The museum is excited to have a “different” group at ceremony than usual audience. \n\n\n\nWe will be camping on hard surfaces\, so plan on that for your awning needs – no stakes allowed. \n\n\n\nAttendee List\n\n\n\nCurrent count – 54 Trailers & Hotel stay and 94 Attendees \n\n\n\nNameTrailerSmilie1946 Curtis Wright Model 1 16′Hershberger1927 Auto-Kamp 10′Wright1948 Western FlyerBastian1962 Holiday House 18′Kesler1949 Glider 77 27′McCool1947 Spartan Manor 25′Piper1947 Curtis Wright 5 22′Morrison1951 Lutes Coach T25 25′Brown1952 Vagabond 34′Flis-Schneider1935 Bowlus Road Chief 18′BoneHOTELBone1949 AmericanSmiley1956 BranstratorKusnicki1997 Sunline Solaris T-2653 27′Hyde1959 Airstream Ambassador 28′Webb1969 Shasta CompactWymer2004 Airstream International CCD 28′Watson1967 Airstream Overlander Int’l 26′Bergman1950/2014 Spartan Housecar 24′Kyle1970 Airstream SafariStallings1964 Airstream Overlander 26′Sensiba1963 Layton 14′Hindley1952 Spartanette TandemKeenan1961 Airstream BambiGulleyHOTELDosher1953 Spartanette 35′Hoeh1976 Airstream Argosy 26′Watts (Heath)2021 Airstream Classic 30′Waters1963 Yellowstone 16′Martin1978 Argosy Minuet 20′Herrmann1992 Airstream Classic/Excella 29′Hartwig1964 Avion T-20Fisher1947 Curtis Wright Model 5 ClipperHeintz1959 Ellsworth Coach 11-TOlmsted1989 AvionMcDowell1948 Airstream Liner 22′Blaquiere1975 Avion LaGrande 28′Futey1964 Airstream Overlander 26′GroceHOTELMoore1951 Vagabond 34′Leach1998 Itasca Sunrise 31′Fiore1947 Spartan ManorMiner1964 Beeline Wasp 13′Curto1974 Airstream Sovereign 31Truitt1998 Casita Spirit Deluxe 17′Katz1949 Curtis WrightPeplinskiHOTELHardekopf2016 Chrysler Town & Country 20′Blackmer1978 Airstream Tradewind 25′McBride1975 Airstream Land Yacht 25′Senior2019 Airstream “Tommy Bahama” 27′LarsonHOTELCox1950 Luxor 29′Kawa2001 Taylor Coach Bobbie 12′\n\n\n\nTentative Agenda \n\n\n\n2023-Function-at-the-Junction-1Download\n\n\n\nOther activities and suggestions for things to do while visiting Elkhart can be found here \n\n\n\nHOTELS\n\n\n\nNearby Hotels if you plan to attend the Induction Ceremony but not bring a trailer and rally with us. SUMMARY:7th Annual Shadow of the Bear Rally
DESCRIPTION:We are very excited for TCT’s 2023 Shadow Of The Bear Rally at Orchard Beach State Park.  The park and Tin Can Tourists have been friends for over a century.  Last year was wonderful\, we had such a good time!  Many of our campsites have a view of Lake Michigan. As we sat at our campsites\, enjoying each others company\, we watched the eagles soar\, riding on the thermals over the lake.  It was so cool!  We enjoyed taking our meals in the moved and refreshed Pavilion.  The size of the Pavilion will accommodate all of us – as many of us as are in attendance can enjoy our meals together.  Because the local area is so beautiful\, our agenda allows for lots of “touristing” time.  The park’s rangers have recommended a block of sites for our gathering. They are highlighted in white on the site map at the end of this letter. Please note:  The sites highlighted offer the best view of the lake and mature trees providing ample shade.    \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSITES CAN BE RESERVED ONLINE:  https://midnrreservations.com/home \n\n\n\nAGENDA: \n\n\n\nTHURSDAY: \n\n\n\nMorning:  Koffee & Kibitzing – Host Site           \n\n\n\nMorning – 4:00pm:  Arrive & Set Up/Then Sign In/Site TBD         \n\n\n\n5:00pm:  Meet & Greet Dinner at a restaurant TBA \n\n\n\nEvening:  Campfire & Conversations – Site# TBD \n\n\n\nFRIDAY: \n\n\n\n7:30am:  Koffee & Kibitzing – The Pavilion \n\n\n\n8:00am:  Breakfast Pitch In – The Pavilion \n\n\n\nMorning/Afternoon: Free Ranging the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore\, Manistee\, and Leelanau Peninsula \n\n\n\n6:00pm:  Dinner – Pot Luck – The Pavilion \n\n\n\nEvening:  Campfire & Conversations – Site# TBD \n\n\n\nSATURDAY: \n\n\n\n7:30am:  Koffee & Kibitzing – The Pavilion \n\n\n\n8:00am:  Breakfast Pitch In – The Pavilion  \n\n\n\nMorning/Afternoon: Free Ranging the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore\, Manistee\, and Leelanau Peninsula \n\n\n\n6:00pm:  Dinner – Pot Luck – The Pavilion                                \n\n\n\nEvening:  Campfire & Conversations – Site# TBD \n\n\n\nSUNDAY \n\n\n\n8:00am:  Koffee & Kibitzing – Host site             \n\n\n\n9:00am:  Farewells and Best Wishes for Safe \n\n\n\nSUNDAY (continued) \n\n\n\nFor the “Hell No We Won’t Goers:” \n\n\n\n5:00:   Dinner at a local restaurant TBA (rain or shine) \n\n\n\n7:41pm:   Sunset Manistee beach (weather permitting) \n\n\n\nEvening:  Campfire & Conversations – Site# TBA \n\n\n\nIMPORTANT NOTES:  \n\n\n\nRally Fee: $45  Please mail a check ASAP toRebecca Shrode \n\n\n\n19019 Waite Blvd. \n\n\n\nSouth Bend\, IN 46637 \n\n\n\n\nChecks are best and need to arrive in our mailbox by Saturday September 9th.\n\n\n\n\n\nYou can also send us your rally fee via PayPal (https://www.paypal.com/us/home).  Our PayPal addy is ContactUs@BrookRode.com. SUMMARY:Tin Can Tourists 105th Winter Convention
DESCRIPTION:The 105th Annual Winter Convention Registration is open!  We have a new home for the TCT Winter Convention which will be the Private Robinson Ranch located in a pristine old Florida setting right on the Withlacoochee Riverside between Dunnellon Florida and Inglis Florida. Be sure to send your TCT registration early as we only have 130 elect/water sites in addition to a dry camping field. There is a dump station on site and a bath house in the park. Do Not contact the park and please only coordinate through Tim Heintz / Tin Can Tourists.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDATES:The official convention dates will be February 21-25\, 2024 with February 21st being an optional early arrival day. This year no rigs will be allowed to arrive earlier than the 21st of February as this venue is not a public RV park so we are only allowed to have our members arrive on the official dates contracted for the rally. If you are traveling long distance and plan to arrive in the area earlier you will need to make arrangements at a nearby RV park until the convention gates open at 11:00am on February 21st 2024. \n\n\n\nCHECK IN:TCT will have a large number of rigs arriving on Wednesday and Thursday. We are asking members to arrive at the park between 11:00am-5:00pm EDT if possible and please be patient as we direct rigs to the sites. Official registration will occur at the gate when you arrive. If arriving after hours and need assistance in parking please contact Tim Heintz once you arrive on site by calling 850.739.0237 \n\n\n\nTCT campsites are all ‘First Come First Serve’. This year we have the option of registering for a 30amp Electric/Water site OR a dry camping area. The Dry Camping area does have some water hook ups in the general area for filling tanks and if you want to park near a water hook up in the dry camping area it will be a first come first serve basis. Generators will only be allowed in the Dry Camping area and designated hours to run generators will be 9am-11am and 6pm-8pm. There is a dump station on site for all members to use. \n\n\n\nIf you do not pick up your registration bag on Wednesday you may pick it up at the gate on Thursday from 11am-5pm or at the Thursday evening Meet and Greet. \n\n\n\nOFF SITE PARTICIPATES:There will even be a registration option for our members that may currently not have a camping rig to bring\, decide to travel without your rig\, staying in a hotel/Airbnb\, or even live nearby and just want to participate in the official daily rally activities. Select the ‘No Camping Spot’ option on the registration form (Plus additional guests if applicable) and you may still participate in all of the official events with an event gate pass. You will still receive an official rally bag\, t-shirt(s)\, meals\, etc. \n\n\n\nVOLUNTEERS:We always need volunteers to help during the event. If you would like to volunteer\, please let us know by email\, sign up during official registration or with one of the TCT officials after you arrive. Volunteers will be needed to help set-up\, gate registration\, break-down\, check meal tickets\, serve meals\, meal clean up\, open house gate attendants\, etc… \n\n\n\nSCHEDULE: THIS YEAR’S THEME….. The 1980’s!There are many events planned during the 105th Winter Convention including a 1980’s Movie Night\, early morning 30 minute 80’s aerobic workout 1980’s Dance Party\, and so much more! Plenty of time to find those awesome 80’s outfits deep in your closets! \n\n\n\nSOCIAL MEDIA/UPDATES: \n\n\n\nThe TCT 105th Winter Convention does have an event page on Facebook. Feel free to use that page for any ‘pop-up events’ you want to host or list outside of our regular schedule of events such as nightly campfires at certain site numbers\, times to gather at the pavilion for playing cards\, puzzles\, happy hours\, etc.… or even just carpooling trips for store / supply runs in town.  ‘Click here for a link to the official winter conventionpage’ \n\n\n\nThanks again to all members for their patience and cooperation this year with relocating the Winter Convention once again to a new venue\, we are pretty sure we have found a new long-term home! It has been a very challenging couple of years but be assured your TCT officials are working year long to provide you with the best event possible! \n\n\n\nIf you have any questions or concerns please email TCT.Heintz@Gmail.com

The process to use your credit card will be that you fill out the registration form and send it by email. Once received we will create an invoice for the amount owed and email that to you for payment. Please complete the payment of the invoice once received. \n\n\n\nRally T-Shirt – you can order a rally t-shirt as part of registration. SUMMARY:2024 Lumberjack Rally at Mitchell State Park
DESCRIPTION:This is a Tin Can Tourists official event and you must be a member of the club to use the group hold and attend the event. Join the club here: TCT Membership – Tin Can Tourists \n\n\n\nIn 2024\, the campground is blocking off 50 sites for us to group closer together. The park loved having us and were really supportive of the event. \n\n\n\nRegistration Process\n\n\n\nStep 1) Get your camp site using the Michigan State Park Reservation System (https://www.midnrreservations.com/) or by calling 1-800-447-2757 (1-800-44PARKS) \n\n\n\nThe Group Hold code has expired – the process now is to get any campsite available and then go to step 2. \n\n\n\nGROUP HOLD: Lumberjack2024 \n\n\n\nThe hold code applies to 50 sites that are grouped together for the club. You are more than welcome to get any other site that is nearby if you’d prefer or if you have a need that another site might provide – like a 50amp site\, handicap site or a site closer to the bathroom/showers. \n\n\n\nSITE 136 – Host: Terry and Michelle Bone \n\n\n\nSITE 194 – Morning Coffee: Steve Brown & Sandy Masten (no dogs allowed at coffee) \n\n\n\nStep 2) RSVP that you’re attending by emailing tct1919@gmail.com and let us know what campsite you ended up with – we’d like to know how many are coming for the welcome packets and coffee/treat planning! \n\n\n\nThis is a casual weekend and open house (12-3pm) to get introduced to the state park and local community. We will be planning on a few group activities: Molkky Tournament\, a Happy Hour\, New Member initiation\, and coffee will be provided. Agenda will be posted a few months out from the event. \n\n\n\nTentative Agenda\n\n\n\nThursday\n\n\n\n\n6pm Pickup – Welcome Packet at Rally Host Campsite (136) – collecting $10 rally fee for Coffee / Morning Treats and cocktail hour snacks. Register for Molkky tournament – individuals will be randomly paired with other TCT members.\n\n\n\n\nFriday\n\n\n\n\n8am – Coffee at site 194 – bring a mug and leave your dog at your trailer\n\n\n\n2pm – Molkky Tournament – prizes for the winning team! \n\n\n\n6pm – New Member Orientation and Cocktail hour. Bring a beverage and we will have snacks at the pavilion. Find a spot for the musical program.\n\n\n\n7pm – Musical program Friday night\, June 14 at 7:00. Mike Fornes will be performing solo parts of his Gordon Lightfoot Tribute.  The program will be outside at the pavilion at the visitors’ center.  Bring a chair or blanket.
