SUMMARY:CANCELLED - Tin Can Tourists 102nd Annual Winter Convention
DESCRIPTION:CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF RSVPs AND COVID RESTRICTIONS \n\n\n\nDue to COVID concerns\, registration commitments were extremely low as compared to previous years and financial commitments/contracts required to hold the rally could not be supported. \n\n\n\nThis year will be packed full of fun and safe events. We will do everything we can to keep everyone safe and healthy. We found a professional caterer that will prepare meals safely and severed in to-go containers allowing members to eat at socially distanced tables or take their meals back to their trailer. This year event T-Shirts are included in the rally packet. There will be a socially distanced outdoor movie night (Every trailer gets Jiffy Pop and other movie treats in their welcome packet.) Custom TCT Mask will be provided for all members. New this year is a shuffle board tournament (Mask required for participates) and we are sure to have some strong competition as other Rallies have had Shuffle Board and we are finding out that teams have officially been formed and some already have their own team uniforms!  There will not be a Public open house this year but we will have Friday Night Lights were members are encouraged to decorate the exteriors with lights and open all their curtains with interior lights turned on so we can all ‘tour’ and ‘view’ the trailers outside safely from the windows. Saturday will also include a Swap meet as usual and the Ladies Exchange that we had last year. Sanitation will be a top priority for this event! DESCRIPTION:Due to the cancelation of the annual Rollin Through the Decades Rally at TopSail Hill Preserve in Santa Rosa Beach Florida\, We have come up with a replacement campground/event the SAME WEEKEND for those that still want to camp. There is a private luxury RV park just 30 miles north of the TopSail event location (right off I-10) in DeFuniak Springs Florida that will welcome our group as a replacement park and has agreed to possibly work with us for future events after this year’s unofficial trial run. Unfortunately they do not offer senior discounts but the park is incredibly nice with a lot to do in and around Historical DeFuniak Springs. If anyone would like to camp with our group that will be at Twin Lakes RV Resort they may do so by calling Twin Lakes and booking a site for Oct 7-10 2021. https://twinlakescampresort.com/ Twin Lakes only allows RSVPs by phone so if you call with no answer please leave a message and they will return your call as soon as possible\, remember they are on Central Time Zone. They also require a $50 non refundable / Non Transferable deposit for all reservations. I have personally camped at this park several times and it is one of the best places I have ever stayed\, they definitely have the best showers I have ever encountered at any RV park! If you want to come stay with the rest of the TCTers be sure to make your RSVPs soon!

SUMMARY:Tin Can Tourists 1st Annual Vintage Liftoff Rally !
DESCRIPTION:Blast off at the 1st. Annual Tin Can Tourists Liftoff Rally. Located on Florida’s Space Coast along the shore of the Indian River LagoonManatee Hammock is a shaded and quiet hammock of pines and palms. The park features a fishing pier\, pavilion and a perfect view of the Kennedy Space Center. Depending on the launch schedule we may be able to view a launch during the rally !The camping fee as of Sept. 2020 is $29 which includes all taxes. \n\n\n\nThe camping fee is separate from the the rally fee. The campground has 166 full hookup sites and 20 with water and electric only. Reservations can be made starting one year before the rally date. Be aware that November is the start of their winter season so be sure to reserve asap. First come\, first serve! If you wait until close to the November 2021 rally date you will probably be out of luck. \n\n\n\nSome recommended sites are: 58-64\, 69-78\, 80-84\, 127-139\, 156-162. You can reserve online or give the campground a call and they will help you choose a site. 1-321-264-5083. You will be charged a $20 cancellation fee if you cancel 10 days prior to your reservation date.  \n\n\n\nThe rally fee is $20 per trailer for Tin Can Tourists members. DESCRIPTION:Come enjoy a fun Christmas themed campout at Oak Alley RV Resort in Webster Florida. This event is a great opportunity to just relax and have fun with all your TCT friends. There will be no registration nor a rally fee with TCT\, but you must call Oak Alley to reserve and pay for a campsite for this event. The nightly fee for TCT is $35 with full hookups\, pickle ball and shuffle ball courts and use of a big beautiful clubhouse. Tell them you are with TCT as they will be grouping us together. Reservations will accepted starting April 19th 2021 for a 90 day period ending July 19th 2021. Do not call before April 19th to make a reservation. The reservation window may be expanded depending on the number of confirmed reservations. At this time Oak Alley is blocking out 40 sites for TCT. All TCTers are encouraged to bring your Christmas decorations for your trailer. DESCRIPTION:This is a private luxury RV park just 30 miles north of the Santa Rosa Beach Florida (right off I-10) in DeFuniak Springs Florida. The park is incredibly nice with a lot to do in and around Historical DeFuniak Springs. If anyone would like to camp with our group that will be at Twin Lakes RV Resort they may do so by calling Twin Lakes and booking a site for Oct 6-11 2022. https://twinlakescampresort.com/ Twin Lakes only allows RSVPs by phone so if you call with no answer please leave a message and they will return your call as soon as possible\, remember they are on Central Time Zone. They also require a $50 non refundable / Non Transferable deposit for all reservations. I have personally camped at this park several times and it is one of the best places I have ever stayed\, they definitely have the best showers I have ever encountered at any RV park! If you want to come stay with the rest of the TCTers be sure to make your RSVPs soon!

DESCRIPTION:Come join us for the inaugural Tin Can Tourists Rally With The Gators at Fisheating Creek Outpost. This will be a small rally by TCT standards as we have been able to secure only fourteen campsites by prepaying the first night campsite fee. We have ten site for three nights and four sites for two nights.  \n\n\n\nAt Fisheating creek you’re likely to spot gators and turtles\, a great blue heron\, white egrets and other assorted critters. Available activities include paddling\, hiking/biking\, fishing and swimming. With a sizable gator population swimming may not be the best idea. Speaking of gators the best way to get up close with them is to rent a kayak or canoe. As you paddle the tranquil creek the gators will swim out from the bank to greet you just like in the old Tarzan movies. The more friendly ones may even bump your kayak or canoe just to say hello. You can also sell to the public during open house if you’d like. \n\n\n\nThere will be games and music for entertainment for everyone to participate in if you’d like.. \n\n\n\n– Saturday June 10th \n\n\n\n1:00-5:00pm is when we will have an open house to the public. This will be promoted to the Douglasville community to come out to see your beautiful camper setup. \n\n\n\nThere will be food\, arts and crafts vendors available during the event. Pick up their poop!! \n\n\n\n*** Only well mannered dogs are welcomed. No aggressive breeds!!! There will be a designated area for dogs to do their business. Please utilize it as we don’t want to have them going all over the camping area where the public as well as yourself will spend most of your time. There will not be any poop on the property when you get there and we would like to keep it that way so it is very imperative that you clean up behind your fur babies at all times. They are having a celebration on Saturday\, September 30 and they would love to fill their campground up with Vintage trailers. \n\n\n\nThis is a beautiful but smaller park. There are plenty of sites open right now but none are being held for reservations from us. So\, if you plan to attend go ahead and make reservations now. We are trying to fill up sites 20 – 27 first so that we can all be together. My husband and I are organizing this rally and it’s not in conjunction with any of the rally groups. We will plan events and meals after we know who all is planning to attend. We love this park! DESCRIPTION:This is a private luxury RV park just 30 miles north of the Santa Rosa Beach Florida (right off I-10) in DeFuniak Springs Florida. The park is incredibly nice with a lot to do in and around Historical DeFuniak Springs. If anyone would like to camp with our group that will be at Twin Lakes RV Resort they may do so by calling Twin Lakes and booking a site for Oct 12-14 2023. https://twinlakescampresort.com/ Twin Lakes only allows RSVPs by phone so if you call with no answer please leave a message and they will return your call as soon as possible\, remember they are on Central Time Zone. They also require a $50 non refundable / Non Transferable deposit for all reservations. I have personally camped at this park several times and it is one of the best places I have ever stayed\, they definitely have the best showers I have ever encountered at any RV park! If you want to come stay with the rest of the TCTers be sure to make your RSVPs soon!

SUMMARY:3rd Annual Vintage Liftoff Rally
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Tin Can Tourists 3rd. Annual Vintage Liftoff Rally. Located on Florida’s Space Coast along the shore of the Indian River Lagoon. Manatee Hammock is a shaded and quiet hammock of pines and palms. The park features a fishing pier\, pavilion and a perfect view of the Kennedy Space Center. Depending on the launch schedule we may be able to view a launch!  \n\n\n\nBrevard County increased the nightly camping fee effective November 15th. 2022 to $41 for non-Brevard County residents as well as adding an additional fee of $2 per night for sewage for a total of $43 plus a 7% sales tax and a 5% tourist tax for a total of $48.16 per night. The camping fee before November 15th. 2022 was $30.85 per night which includes all taxes. If you reserved before the rate increase you are good to go. \n\n\n\nThe campground has 166 full hookup sites and 20 with water and electric only. \n\n\n\nReservations can be made now. Be aware that November is the start of their winter season so be sure to reserve asap. First come\, first serve. Sites fill up fast\, the longer you delay reserving the less chance you will have of securing a site. \n\n\n\nYou may reserve online at www.brevardfl.gov or give the campground a call and they will help you choose a site. (321) 264-5083. The rally fee is $20 per trailer for TCT members. (Rally fee is not included in the campsite reservation cost). This event is a great opportunity to just relax and have fun with all your TCT friends. There is no rally fee nor registration required but you must call Oak Alley to reserve and pay for a campsite. Tell them you are with TCT to get the discount rate of $45 per night for full hookups. Do not book a site online. Fifty sites have been set aside for us with 30 being grouped in the grass area by the entrance and the remainder on the street west of the pool. We will once again be judging trailer decorations on Friday night and also having the traditional Christmas Sweater contest. There will be a potluck on Saturday night 12/2 @5:30 in the clubhouse. The winners of the trailer judging will be announced during the potluck and also the Sweater contest participants. Don’t forget your swimsuits for the pool and pickleball gear if you a player.
