DESCRIPTION:24th Annual Mt. Baker Vintage Trailer Rally. Washington State’s Largest Vintage Trailer Rally held every year the weekend after Labor Day at the NW Washington Fairgrounds in Lynden\, WA. The Dates are Sept 3-9\, 2024! This is field camping with no assigned spots. You will register when you arrive. Showers\, restrooms and a rv dump station are on site. Power and water is abundant and available for most everyone with extension cords and water splitters. Cost is: $35 per night plus a single rally fee of $25. All are welcome to attend. Those trailers that aren’t Vintage or “in The Spirit of Vintage” will just be asked to park in a designated section along the perimeter. We sit at our campsites enjoying each other’s company\, we watch the eagles soar while riding on the thermals over the lake.  It is so cool!  We enjoy taking our meals in the moved and refreshed Pavilion.  The size of the Pavilion will accommodate all of us – as many of us as are in attendance can enjoy our meals together.  \n\n\n\nTCT’s Shadow Of The Bear is a unique rally.  Because the local area is so beautiful\, our agenda allows for lots of “touristing” time. Orchard Beach State Park is a beautiful destination on its own for a vacation.  There are wineries & craft breweries nearby\, cute small towns to visit\, and beauty all around.  Our agenda is simple.  We gather together for breakfast and share our plans for the day.  Most of the day is free for what we call “touristing.”  We come back together for dinner and share our adventures of the day.  Each evening we gather round campfires.  Perfect Fall camping in one of the most beautiful parts of Michigan. \n\n\n\nA couple housekeeping reminders: 1)  To reserve a site: log into your account in the State’s reservation system https://midnrreservations.com/ and use the Group Hold function. \n\n\n\nThe Group Hold Code is:  Shadow2024The hold is for sites in the “A-H\, 28-77\, 108-136\, Cabins” section of the campground map.\n\n\n\nThe group hold will remain in place until April 16\, 2024.  The open sites will be available to the public.The campsites at Orchard Beach are large and feel spread out.  Last year\, we discussed getting our group closer together.  We thought clustering around the Hostess/Host site would be best.  Please reserve your site as near to the host site #120 as possible. \n\n\n\nTCT’s Shadow Of The Bear is September 19 to 22.  You are invited to come early and stay late.  See you there!!!!!2)  Rally fee:  $45:  you can pay by PayPal. This is a relaxing rally with a light weight agenda and a very low cost of only $15 per adult and $5 for kids. USPS First Class mail only. The registrations postmarked and received by email on that date will be placed in a box to be randomly drawn to complete the numerical roster. \n\n\n\nIf you are emailing your registration\, you must use PayPal or a Credit Card for the payment\, and both need to be sent the same day. Please note that there is a fee required on the registration form if you plan to use email and PayPal/Credit Card. If you opt to use a Credit Card\, an invoice will be sent to you by email. \n\n\n\nMake sure you choose a campsite that will accommodate the size of your trailer. The area consists of Sites – 45 to 54 – these sites are restricted for trailers that have features that make them flammable. SUMMARY:8th Annual "Campin' the Cumberland Vintage Camper Rally
DESCRIPTION:Somernites Cruise and General Burnside Island State Park are proud to announce the 8th Annual “Campin’ the Cumberland Vintage Camper Rally”!! September 26th-29th\, 2024 at General Burnside Island State Park!! This was a new location for us last year and it was great!! We are excited to be back there!! \n\n\n\nLast years rally saw over 40 vintage campers and was a great success and we are excited for this years event!! \n\n\n\nThurs Sept 26th is check in day. The day is open for setup and to explore the area (and we have a lot to see including Cumberland Falls\, Big South Fork scenic Railway\, Historic Mill Springs Grist Mill\, Mill Springs Civil War Battlefield\, Haney’s Appledale Farms\, etc.) all within a 10 minute to 45 minute drive of the campground. \n\n\n\nFriday Sept 27th is when we have open house scheduled from 2:30 to 5:30. We will be promoting the open house to anyone in our community who may want to come see the campers so bring all your vintage camping supplies\, coolers\, etc.!! You can even set up and sell your goods if you want to!! There is a $10 fee that the Park has to charge if you want to sell items. \n\n\n\nSaturday September 28th is the Somernites Cruise event in historic downtown Somerset (again about 10 minutes from the campground). Gates open at 12:00 (noon). We would like to have about 7-10 really nice vintage campers along with vintage tow vehicles to come display downtown (we understand that means you have to break down and set up again downtown). Our September show is always one of our largest of the year!! We usually have between 1\,000 -1\,500 classic/collector cars & trucks at our September show. If campers prefer not to attend the Somernites Cruise event and would rather explore the community and other attractions that’s OK too. Again\, all Somernites Cruise events are free. Saturday night we will have a pot-luck dinner for all campers. More details will be announced as we get closer to the event!! \n\n\n\nGeneral Burnside Island State Park is offering a 15% discount per night!! We appreciate them working with us!! We currently have 60 campsites blocked off so make your reservations early to ensure you get a site!! Reservations can be made by calling the Campground office at 606-561-3625 or the business office at 606-561-4104. Be sure to tell them that you are booking for the “Campin’ the Cumberland Vintage Camper Rally” to get the discounted rate!! You must call to book one of the reserved sites. DESCRIPTION:Our rally this year will be held at the Pine Mountain RV Resort in Pine Mountain\,\nGeorgia\, an hour and a half drive South of Atlanta. Dates are from October 31 to November 3\, 2024. It is a beautiful area with FDR State Park and Callaway Gardens right down the road.  \n\n\nHalloween is the theme and we have some great events planned! \n\n– Pumpkin carving contest\n– Halloween party (trophy for best costume) with the Kris Youmans Band\n– Trophy for best Halloween decorated trailer\n–  Bonfire party with s’mores\n– Tim Heintz presentation on the history of vintage trailers \n– Spooky movie night…..and more to come\n     \nWe have 100 full hookup sites available for our group. All sites will be first come\, first serve. There is also a selection of cabins\, yurts\, and tent sites to stay in if you do not have a camper. There are two sections to stay in. SUMMARY:106th Annual Winter Convention
DESCRIPTION:Greetings TCTers! \n\n\n\n     The 106th Annual Winter Convention Registration is open! (Registration attached) We are happy to be returning to the Robinson Ranch right on the Withlacoochee Riverside between downtown Dunnellon Florida and Inglis Florida. Be sure to book early as we only have 130 elect/water sites in addition to a dry camping field.  \n\n\n\nDATES: \n\n\n\nThe official convention dates will be February 19-23\, 2025 with February 19th being an optional early arrival day. Remember that like last year no member will be allowed to arrive earlier than the 19th of February as this venue is not a public RV park and we are only contracted to have our members arrive on the official dates for the rally. If you are traveling long distance and plan to arrive in the area earlier you will need to make arrangements at a nearby RV park until the gates open at noon February 19th 2025. The venue has agreed that anyone that wants to stay a night or two AFTER the official rally may do so for an additional $25.00 per night paid in person to the venue host.  \n\n\n\nCHECK IN: \n\n\n\nTCT will have a large number of rigs arriving on Wednesday and Thursday. We are asking members to arrive at the park between noon-5:00pm EDT if possible and please be patient as we direct all rigs during parking. Official registration will occur at the gate when you arrive. If arriving after hours and need assistance in parking please contact Tim Heintz once you arrive by calling 850.739.0237 \n\n\n\nTCT campsite parking is all ‘First Come First Served’. There is the option of registering for a 30amp Electric/Water site OR a dry camping area. The Dry Camping area does have some water hook ups in the general area for filling tanks and if you want to park near a water hook up in the dry camping area it will be a first come first serve basis. Generators will be allowed in the Dry Camping area only and designated hours to run generators will be 9am-11am and 6pm-8pm only please. There is a dump station on site for all members to use.   \n\n\n\nThis year we will also have additional port-o-lets for the dry camping area\, sites furthest from the bathrooms\, and close to the pavilion.  \n\n\n\nWe are also working on the possibility of having Golf Cart rentals for members\, but more details will be sent out if these options can be secured.  \n\n\n\nIf you do not pick up your registration bag on Wednesday you may pick it up at the gate on Thursday from 11am-5pm or at the Thursday evening Meet and Greet  \n\n\n\nVOLUNTEERS: \n\n\n\nWe do need volunteers to help during the event. If you would like to volunteer\, please select that option on the official registration or with one of the TCT officials once you arrive. Volunteers are needed to help set-up\, gate registration\, break-down\, check arm bands\, serve meals\, meal clean up\, open house gate attendants\, etc…  \n\n\n\nSCHEDULE: \n\n\n\nThere are many events planned during the 106th Winter Convention\, catered meals\, meet and greets\, movie night\, live entertainment\, contest\, swap meet\, vintage trailer open house\, and so much more! DON’T FORGET THIS YEAR’S THEME   HEE-HAW! So\, start looking for your best Hee-Haw themed costume and there will be a Minnie Pearl Contest open to all! DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, April 12th we will be have a vintage trailer show in Tyrone\, Ga. near Peachtree City\, 20 miles South of Atlanta. This will be a big event because it will be held in conjunction with Tyrone’s annual Spring Fling which attracts people from all over the county.  \n\nThis will be an official Tin Can Tourist event. \n\nIt will be heavily advertised by the City of Tyrone so we need trailers to participate.  It will be very organized and a lot of fun.  \n\n– One day only event.  No camping at venue.  If you would like to camp nearby Chattahoochee Bend State Park is recommended.  It is beautiful\, clean\, and new.  If we get enough people camping there we could make it an “unofficial” rally.
