SUMMARY:CANCELLED - Tin Can Tourists 102nd Annual Winter Convention
DESCRIPTION:CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF RSVPs AND COVID RESTRICTIONS \n\n\n\nDue to COVID concerns\, registration commitments were extremely low as compared to previous years and financial commitments/contracts required to hold the rally could not be supported. \n\n\n\nThis year will be packed full of fun and safe events. We will do everything we can to keep everyone safe and healthy. We found a professional caterer that will prepare meals safely and severed in to-go containers allowing members to eat at socially distanced tables or take their meals back to their trailer. This year event T-Shirts are included in the rally packet. There will be a socially distanced outdoor movie night (Every trailer gets Jiffy Pop and other movie treats in their welcome packet.) Custom TCT Mask will be provided for all members. New this year is a shuffle board tournament (Mask required for participates) and we are sure to have some strong competition as other Rallies have had Shuffle Board and we are finding out that teams have officially been formed and some already have their own team uniforms!  There will not be a Public open house this year but we will have Friday Night Lights were members are encouraged to decorate the exteriors with lights and open all their curtains with interior lights turned on so we can all ‘tour’ and ‘view’ the trailers outside safely from the windows. Saturday will also include a Swap meet as usual and the Ladies Exchange that we had last year. Sanitation will be a top priority for this event! DESCRIPTION:Circle your wagons! Make plans to camp in your vintage travel trailer at our new rally\, celebrating Airstreams. \nCamping at the Gilmore Car Museum\n•	The camping fee is $35 per night for electric and $25 per night for non-electric.\n•	Reservations are required for electric sites.\n•	There are ten (10) sites with 20 Amp Electric.\n•	All campers must register at the Museum Store upon arrival and prior to parking your camper.\n•	Registration numbers must be placed in a visible location on the vehicle.\n•	Public restrooms (no showers) are available next to the Shell Station. \nCamping Rules\nThe Gilmore Car Museum is happy to be able to offer rustic camping on our grounds. Obtaining a permit from the State of Michigan\, for a permanent campground and the preservation of this beautiful site\, requires us to implement rules that help us comply with requirements that will be beneficial to everyone. \n•	No discharge of grey water or black water will be tolerated. Anyone caught discharging any wastewater will be required to leave the Museum grounds immediately.\n•	Tarps or other ground covers are not allowed.\n•	Ground fires are not allowed.\n•	Pets are welcome. Pets must be on a leash and campers must clean up waste generated by their animals.\n•	Campers with generators are asked to either divert their generator exhaust or protect the grass from damage.\n•	Quiet time starts at 10:30 p.m. At quiet time\, please shut down any unnecessary lighting and other noise activity for the remainder of the evening.

The area consists of Sites – 45 to 54 – these sites are restricted for trailers that have features that make them flammable. DESCRIPTION:I am super excited to announce that we will be gathering at the Elk Creek Campground in Grand Lake next year\, 2021.Rocky Mountain National Park is just a few miles down the road\, the lakes are gorgeous (and they have affordable boat rentals on site!)\, and there are so many shops and restaurants to discover!The campground is absolutely beautiful\, clean facilities\, with spacious and private sites. As a bonus – the owners are the nicest people in the world!FINE PRINT:The campground will be holding sites for our group. Once that date has passed\, sites will be made available to the general public.The dates are Thursday 6/3/2021 to Monday 6/6/2021. Do not feel pressured to reserve all 4 days – we realize that is not possible for everyone – you may reserve any range of dates that works best for you. We will have a “Meet and Greet” gathering on Friday evening\, and a pot luck Wah-dinger breakfast (I’ll show ya how) followed by Trailer Tours on Saturday morning. More info will be posted as we get closer to the event date.The campground will be taking a $100 non-refundable deposit. THIS MAY BE TRANSFERRED TO ANOTHER MEMBER IF YOU HAVE TO CANCEL. We realize that it is difficult to schedule this far in advance\, and “things” happen. The campground will work very hard to make sure sites are transferred and everyone is taken care of. All reservations\, cancellations\, and transfers MUST go through the campground. They will do their absolute best to accommodate everyone.If you do not have a trailer – don’t despair!!!
