DESCRIPTION:Greetings one and all! \n\n\n\nWe are very excited for The Shadow Of The Bear Rally’s return to Orchard Beach State Park.  The park and Tin Can Tourists have been friends for over a century.  Last year\, a lot of you expressed a strong desire to return to Orchard Beach.  We listened and took action.  Now the Pavilion has been moved\, we can safely enjoy our meals there.  All of us – as many of us as are in attendance.  The park’s rangers have recommended a block of sites for our gathering. SUMMARY:Illinois Route 66 Mother Road Festival Vintage Camper Rally and Festival Display
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the first Illinois Mother Road Vintage Camper Rally in Springfield\, IL\, as we celebrate the lure of the open highway at The International Route 66 Mother Road Festival. We’ll camp in a grassy area at the Illinois State Fair Campgrounds\, just blocks from the Mother Road Festival and historic Lincoln attractions. Preference will be given to vintage campers (RVs\, camping trailers\, truck campers\, etc.) from 1979 and earlier\, but campers from the 1980s will be welcome if space allows. The fee is $80 for one vintage camper and one person. Add $5 for each additional person in the same camper. The fee includes 3 nights camping (water & electric) and rally activities.   \nIn addition\, for the first time ever\, vintage campers are invited to display their rigs at the International Route 66 Mother Road Festival in downtown Springfield on Saturday\, September 24. The fee for this event is $25\, and registration is from 7 to 9 a.m. the morning of the event at the festival organizer’s tent located at 6th and Cook. Campers are asked to remain at the festival until at least 6 PM.  No hook-ups are provided.    \nEnjoy one or both of these events! (You may display your vintage camper at the Mother Road Festival even if you are not participating in the Vintage Camper Rally.)

DESCRIPTION:This is a private luxury RV park just 30 miles north of the Santa Rosa Beach Florida (right off I-10) in DeFuniak Springs Florida. The park is incredibly nice with a lot to do in and around Historical DeFuniak Springs. If anyone would like to camp with our group that will be at Twin Lakes RV Resort they may do so by calling Twin Lakes and booking a site for Oct 6-11 2022. https://twinlakescampresort.com/ Twin Lakes only allows RSVPs by phone so if you call with no answer please leave a message and they will return your call as soon as possible\, remember they are on Central Time Zone. They also require a $50 non refundable / Non Transferable deposit for all reservations. I have personally camped at this park several times and it is one of the best places I have ever stayed\, they definitely have the best showers I have ever encountered at any RV park! If you want to come stay with the rest of the TCTers be sure to make your RSVPs soon!

DESCRIPTION:Come enjoy a fun Christmas themed campout at Oak Alley RV Resort in Webster Florida. This event is a great opportunity to just relax and have fun with all your TCT friends. There will be no registration nor a rally fee with TCT\, but you must call Oak Alley to reserve and pay for a campsite for this event. Do not book your site online. You must call the office to get the rally rate. The nightly fee for TCT is $45 with full hookups\, pickle ball and shuffle ball courts\, swimming pool\, hot tub and use of a big beautiful clubhouse. Tell them you are with TCT as they will be grouping us together. From now until May Oak Alley will be compiling a list of TCT members for December but will not be securing payment. That is because their computer system will not accept paid reservations until the end of their winter/spring season. Oak Alley will call everyone on the list starting in May to secure payment. SUMMARY:Tin Can Tourists Rally With The Gators
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for the inaugural Tin Can Tourists Rally With The Gators at Fisheating Creek Outpost. This will be a small rally by TCT standards as we have been able to secure only fourteen campsites by prepaying the first night campsite fee. We have ten site for three nights and four sites for two nights.  \n\n\n\nAt Fisheating creek you’re likely to spot gators and turtles\, a great blue heron\, white egrets and other assorted critters. Available activities include paddling\, hiking/biking\, fishing and swimming. With a sizable gator population swimming may not be the best idea. Speaking of gators the best way to get up close with them is to rent a kayak or canoe. As you paddle the tranquil creek the gators will swim out from the bank to greet you just like in the old Tarzan movies. The more friendly ones may even bump your kayak or canoe just to say hello. DESCRIPTION:Southwest Tin Can Tourists is holding a Tiki theme rally at a brand new RV resort- River Sands- opening in December right along the Colorado River. This is a luxury resort with sandy beaches and full river access\, a swimming pool\, hot tub\, and a store with ice. Kayaks will be available to rent and people may enjoy the best of both river fun and a deluxe resort with all the bells and whistles. While vintage trailers are usually banned from RV resorts\, this one is welcoming us and even giving campers an unheard of 20% discount. Back ins are just 57 and pull throughs 67 (limited number) plus taxes. All trailers and teardrops are welcome as long as they are in presentable condition. \n\n\n\nThe rally is scheduled in the cool weather of early March. Campers arrive and set up on Thursday so they may have all day Friday and Saturday to enjoy a unique vacation. All our rally events are scheduled for early morning or evenings to allow participants to explore the area or enjoy the resort’s facilities. We are an easy drive to Joshua Tree National Park\, Oatman (burro encounters)\, and the bridge at Havasu. They first purchased a 1963 Cardinal canned ham trailer (for restoration) in June of 2022\, a camping-ready 1957 Catolac Deville in July of 2022\, and a 1952 Comet (for restoration)\, a camping-ready 1957 Shasta 1500 in the Fall of 2022\, a 1963 Eagle (built in Sapulpa\, OK) that needs a little TLC\, but will be saved! \n\n\n\nThey have attended four vintage camping rallies between Sept. to Nov. of 2022 with the Green Country Vintage Glampers\, and have loved every outing! Scott and Tammy have one son\, Carson age 5\, and enjoy spending time in the great outdoors. In his free time\, Scott enjoys tinkering/restoring old cars/trucks\, and Tammy is an avid bird-watcher and nature-lover. They have 60 acres near Howe\, OK. Scott has been the Superintendent at Howe Public Schools for 24 years. Tammy also works at HPS as the Dir. of Instructional Technology/Federal Programs and teaches Multimedia Journalism and Computer Science.

SUMMARY:Texas Vintage Trailer Club Spring Rally
DESCRIPTION:Wolf Creek Park\, a 110-acre park near Coldspring\, Texas\, opened in 1972. The park offers 102 camping sites\, including 54 campsites with full hookups for RV’s\, complete with 50-amp service and concrete pads. There are also 48 campsites with water and electricity. Park amenities include restrooms and showers\, boat ramps\, fishing piers\, fish cleaning stations\, marina\, playground and volleyball and basketball courts. The park is open from March through November. \n\n\n\nTigerville Park is a day-use facility located in Livingston that includes a free public boat ramp\, restroom facilities and day-use picnic amenities. Additionally\, TRA owns and maintains four free public boat ramps around the lake including\, Blanchard\, Patrick’s Ferry\, Whiterock and Point Blank.
