Roadside historian and TCT Hall of Fame member Daniel Hershberger will once again be presenting a vintage Auto Touring exhibit at The Henry Ford’s Old Car Festival, this coming weekend September 10 and 11 in Dearborn, Michigan. This year marks the 20th year for the exhibit and will feature Dan’s 1927 Auto-Kamp Trailer along with two other period motor camping vignettes. Dan will also be giving two Campsite Talks each day at 12:30 and 4:00 as well as a more formal slide lecture, “Hitting the Road: Motor Camping with the Early Tin Can Tourists,” at the Martha-Mary Chapel at 2:30. The Old Car Festival is the nation’s oldest, continuously running antique automobile show, and features 1932 and earlier vehicles. If you do make it to the show, be sure to stop by the Auto Touring exhibit and say hello.
