Can you tell us about how you got into the vintage trailer hobby?
I went to a rally at Camp Dearborn two years ago with my parents. I absolutely loved it. I had the best time meeting new people and looking at all the vintage campers. I knew in that moment I wanted to be apart of it.
What type of trailers have you owned and what do you have now? What is your dream vintage trailer?
I just bought my first 1966 Shasta 1400 camper this spring. It IS my dream vintage trailer because when I saw them at the rally that’s the exact one I wanted to buy.
What do you tow with?
I tow with a Jeep Wrangler.
Do you attend rallies and what do you like the most about attending a rally?
The first rally I will attended with my new camper will be the spring rally at Camp Dearborn. I’m so excited to take my dog and meet new people and enjoy all the bonfires!
Why did you decide to join the Tin Can Tourists?
I decided to join Tin Can Tourist because my parents have a vintage camper and I loved the sense of community and creativity in this group of people!
What are your camping plans for this year?
My first rally is in the spring at Camp Dearborn, Indian River campground over the Fourth of July. I will also try the harvest host app this summer as well!
