We’ve recently made some improvements to the TCT website we’d like you to know about.
- The menu system is now much simpler but it works for all browsers and search engines. This had been a nagging issue. We will eventually make it prettier but for now working is the goal.
- We’ve locked down user registration to stop spammers/scammers to our classified ad system. New users now go through an approval process. We were having far too many scammers create users in the middle of the night and fire off multiple emails to try to scam sellers in the ads. We couldn’t stop them fast enough and they always changed tactics but this will make the website less attractive to them because they will have to wait and we know the typical email patterns they love to use.
- We’ve are now using a service to keep the website humming along, so it is updated and performant. We also have a staging environment to test out major changes and updates. Not having one has kept us from trying new interfaces and software!
