Yesterday’s (4/12/18) episode of the CBS television program “Innovation Nation” featured a segment on the history of motor lodging.
For the early years, it showed people car camping using a Ford Model T, then it briefly showed a magazine article about the Tin Can Tourists. During the rolling of the program’s closing credits several restored vintage travel trailers were shown. I think these trailers are housed in the Henry Ford Museum in Michigan (the location where “Innovation Nation” is staged).
