Can you tell us about how you got into the vintage trailer hobby?
I saw a pop-up renovated on Pinterest so we bought one and fixed it up. After a few years we wanted more than canvas! I’ve always loved the look of finished wood so the idea of a birch paneled vintage trailer really intrigued us! We started researching (well maybe it was only me and I had to convince my husband) and fell in love with the cabover style.
What type of trailers have you owned and what do you have now? What is your dream vintage trailer?
1991 8′ box Coleman Pop Up. Currently we have a 1966 Holiday Rambler-Trav’ler model Cabover. Dream trailer is a Spartan Manor.
What do you tow with? 2018 F150 Pick up
Do you attend rallies and what do you like the most about attending a rally?
Our first rally will be in a few weeks at Camp Dearborn. I think we’ll like being with others who share our love of vintage trailers.
Why did you decide to join the Tin Can Tourists?
Cuz you said you’re the best!? haha. We wanted to meet others who love vintage trailers and see their trailers and how they restored them.
What are your camping plans for this year?
We have been to Tawas Point twice, Sleeper SP, N. Higgins Lake, Mears SP and Silver Lake SP. No plans yet after the really but we hope to do some fall camping at Lakeport.
