New Member Interview with David and Vickie Morris

Can you tell us about how you got into the vintage trailer hobby?

My lovely bride of 36 years saw a a post of “glampers” on Pintrest and fell in love with the idea. That got us looking!

What type of trailers have you owned and what do you have now? What is your dream vintage trailer?

We bought a titled 13′ 1968 Casual that had been somewhat restored.  We kept what we think was the original floor plan but re-did the interior to meet our needs and of course, Vickie’s glamorous Dachshund theme.!  We will be at the TCT Liftoff Rally in November and the TCT Mingle & Jingle in December with it then we’ll sell it and continue a complete restoration on our 1971 18′ FAN LEE LINER!  It’s got a bathroom!  My dream trailer would be an older Spartan Manor!

What do you tow with?

2020 Toyota Tacoma

Do you attend rallies and what do you like the most about attending a rally?

Yes!  The rallies are a blast!  The comradery, the history and the stories behind the trailers!

Why did you decide to join the Tin Can Tourists?

Great resources, website and people!

What are your camping plans for this year?

Attend these last 2 TCT rallies here in Florida then knuckle down on the restoration of the 71 FAN so we can get back to the wonderful world of vintage camping!
