New Member Interview with Ellen Adams

Can you tell us about how you got into the vintage trailer hobby?

I have a true love for vintage anything, I was driving somewhere in Florida and spotted this little trailer. I fell in love at first site.  She was completely stripped on the inside. Which made the remodel easier. So, I bought her.

What type of trailers have you owned and what do you have now? What is your dream vintage trailer?

A picture is worth a thousand words.  My travel trailer is a 1964 arrow little chief. Rehabbed. My trailers name is cinder-Ellen. It sorta looks like a pumpkin and my name is Ellen.  In the pictures, one of them shows a very large zipper on the back where there is a slight dent.

I have two more vintage trailers; they are both very small Shastas. One is rehabbed still with the original kitchen. I turned it into a bedroom that I rent out of my bed and breakfast. The other Shasta is in need of an overhaul.

What do you tow with?

I tow with a 2014 mini cooper

Do you attend rallies and what do you like the most about attending a rally?

I like to attend rallies but the last couple of years have been not so good for rallying.

Why did you decide to join the Tin Can Tourists?

I like the interaction with other enthusiasts.  I joined tin can tourists because it’s time to meet and talk to people with the same passion.

What are your camping plans for this year?

I try to go to events as I love the interaction and enjoy other people’s bliss when they show off their babies.
