New Member Interview with Wendy Pringle

Can you tell us about how you got into the vintage trailer hobby?

We love all things vintage. We have previously restored cars, including vintage Mustangs and remodeled homes. When we decided to get a trailer, we wanted it to be vintage.

What type of trailers have you owned and what do you have now? What is your dream vintage trailer?

The only other trailer we owned was a tent trailer. We owned a boat for 20 years and then decided we would focus on a trailer instead. We don’t really have one in mind. We love to look at the huge variety. I grew up camping with my parents in an early 60’s trailer that was dark green. I’m trying to find a picture and would love to know what make/model it was.

What do you tow with?

A 2016 Ford F150

Do you attend rallies and what do you like the most about attending a rally?

We attended  2 Vintage trailer rallies as “onlookers” and thought it was so much fun. We loved looking at all the other trailers and the way people decorate them is so amazing! We love to hear about the journey that others have taken to get theirs together.  Our trailer was complety gutted when we got it (so sad!) except for the bathtub which we have refinished and put back in place. It is still in the “not quite done” phase so haven’t had it ready to take to rallies but its “livable” now.

Why did you decide to join the Tin Can Tourists?

We hope to meet other like minded people and swap stories of all things vintage!

What are your camping plans for this year?

Just close to home for the rest of this summer and on the lookout for close, vintage rallies!
