Can you tell us about how you got into the vintage trailer hobby?
I’m an avid lover of vintage…clothing, decor and more!
I started seeing cute vintage trailers back in the late 90’s.
Before Instagram…. We blogged and many of my blog friends had vintage trailers.
What type of trailers have you owned and what do you have now? What is your dream vintage trailer?
My first Vintage trailer was a Fireball. I believe it was a 1958. I found her in Idaho and fell in love with her pink appliances and checkerboard flooring. She was decorated with a Parisian chic style because of my love of poodles.
We went to our first vintage rally in Pismo with her & the side blew off on the way home! I sold her in 2010 to an aspiring young singer with pink hair
I was also gifted a 1969 play mor ( my birth year) I had her for a short time as a back yard oasis.
I remarried in 2013 and rekindled my passion for vintage trailers.
I recently purchased a 1960 Catolac Deville that I have named Wild Rose. She’s had a few adventures with some women camping groups.
I wanted to do more “Vintage”camping with my husband ( we own several modern trailers). I convinced him to take a trip to Plymouth Ca. to tour the campers at Trailerfest.
He started to understand why I love the vintage trailer community!
We came home… I rejoined TCT and got on the waitlist for Pismo. I’m happy to say that we will be there in November with Wild Rose.
I don’t have a dream trailer but I would love to have an old Ford truck as my tow vehicle.
What do you tow with?
Currently we tow with my husbands Dodge Ram.
Do you attend rallies and what do you like the most about attending a rally?
I attend and host rallies in Central California with SOTF. I love the trailer tours & meeting likeminded vintage trailer enthusiasts. I’m excited to share this passion with my husband.
Why did you decide to join the Tin Can Tourists?
I rejoined as I was a member over 10 years ago!
What are your camping plans for this year?
I have various rallies that I’m attending solo and want to do more as a couple.
