We just joined TCT and went to our first rally last month. Everyone made us feel welcome so it was a fun weekend. We purchased a 1971 Shasta and refurbished it to match our 1971 Chevy truck about 3 yrs ago. We have been wanting a vintage camper for a number of years and finally found one in Florida. We camped on the way home with it and fixed it up after that. We try to go camping at least once a month and have done Boondocking . We went through ten states last April on our way back to Illinois from florida.
I actually have gone through a number of campers ( pop ups, pull types and truck camper) and this is probably my favorite, so I do not have a dream camper since I have it already!! For car shows and close camping we use the matching truck. When we head to Florida, we use a Chevy Silverado.
I joined the TCT to find more rallies and other activities we can go to. Our plans for next year is to leave in April and head to Washington state from Florida then come across the northern states back to Illinois. probably take at least a month or more to enjoy that trip.
