Old Car Festival at The Henry Ford/Greenfield Village

TCT Hall of Fame Member Daniel Hershberger will be presenting an in-depth look at 1920s Auto Touring at this weekend’s Old Car Festival at The Henry Ford/Greenfield Village. This year’s exhibit will feature four different motor camping vignettes , one of which will feature his restored 1927 Auto Kamp Fold-Out Tent Trailer. There will also be a special display depicting  motor picnicking, showing how auto touring shifted in the early 1930s from long, extending camping trips to more casual recreational uses of the automobile. The Old Car Festival is the longest running antique automobile show in the United States and features hundreds of authentic vehicles manufactured from the 1890s through 1932. The Festival runs both Saturday and Sunday, with extended hours until 9:00 pm on Saturday. For more information go to www.thehenryford.org.
