New Member Interview with Gary & Carrie Powell

Can you tell us about how you got into the vintage trailer hobby?

We got into the vintage trailer hobby when Gary came home with yet another antique tractor. I (Carrie) informed him it was my turn to start collecting trailers.

What type of trailers have you owned and what do you have now? What is your dream vintage trailer?

We have a 1967 Aljo and a 1969 Starlite. My dream trailer would be an Airstream from the 1950’s with beautiful birch interior.

Do you attend rallies and what do you like the most about attending a rally?

Our first rally will be the Lumberjack Rally at Mitchell State Park in Cadillac, Michigan in June.

Why did you decide to join the Tin Can Tourists?

We joined the club because we have a love for vintage trailers and thought it would be a great networking club.

What are your camping plans for this year?

We are also camping at the Buckley Old Engine Show in August and in Mackinaw City in September for the Mackinaw Bridge Antique Tractor Crossing.
