Can you tell us about how you got into the vintage trailer hobby?
We are not really ‘into it’ yet … just getting started. Found the TCT website while researching our options as to what to do with an Aljoa we have had (neglected) for decades.
What type of trailers have you owned and what do you have now? What is your dream vintage trailer?
This Aljoa is our first and only, so far, but we have traveled in a Claas A motorhome with our daughter all over the USA to Florida and back several times.
What do you tow with?
We need to re-build it first, but our towing vehicle might be our Lexus RX300. It will need a trailer hitch attached and I am not sure that it is capable. Any advice will be appreciated.
Do you attend rallies and what do you like the most about attending a rally?
Have not attended any rallys.
Why did you decide to join the Tin Can Tourists?
Decided to join TCT after finding all sorts of valuable info relevant to our Aljoa Sportsman, it’s history, the many rebuilt and beautifully restored examples out there, and the possibility of joining up with a fascinating and amicable community.
What are your camping plans for this year?
No plans as yet … still needs a lot of work before we can get on the road.
I can go into more detail as to her condition, history (what little we know of it) and our reconstruction plans and reports of progress as this adventure develops, but that may be left for later as ‘another story.’
Thanks Again,
K & J Froeschner
