Can you tell us about how you got into the vintage trailer hobby?
Well I have always loved old cars. While going to car shows I started to see older campers and naturally just fell in love with them. These vintage trailers, like classic cars, are just works of art. I find that the vintage things just remind me a lot of childhood.(plus they are built 100 times better) They take you back to a simpler time.
What type of trailers have you owned and what do you have now? What is your dream vintage trailer?
We have owned everything from modern travel trailers, fifth wheels, vintage campers, to even a skoolie. (school bus conversion)
We recently sold our skoolie and purchased a 1983 Coachman Motorhome. It is in fantastic shape and all original! It takes us back to growing up in the 80’s.
What do you tow with?
Currently don’t tow. (Motorhome)
Do you attend rallies and what do you like the most about attending a rally?
We haven’t attended an “official rally” but have seen small get-togethers at local campgrounds as we are always drawn to the vintage campers while walking the campgrounds.
Why did you decide to join the Tin Can Tourists?
We decided to join as we just acquired our vintage motorhome and are very excited to hit the campgrounds next spring. We wanted to add some Tin Can Tourists stickers to our RV and join the fun! We look forward to meeting other TCT fans on the road next year and years to come.
What are your camping plans for this year?
Since we live in Southeast Michigan, unfortunately we won’t be able to camp anymore this year but are really looking forward to Spring 2023
Great condition inside. Love to see the other half.
