Can you tell us about how you got into the vintage trailer hobby? For me it’s not really a hobby… I just love the look of the vintage trailers, and am unable to re-do an older one so when we saw the Gulf Stream Vintage trailer at the RV show, we decided we had to have one. Not really totally vintage, but as close as we’re able to get!
What type of trailers have you owned and what do you have now? What is your dream vintage trailer? I’ve owned many trailers, my first was a little 13 foot Scottie (i think that was it) that I used to take to horse shows. It was the smallest camper there, but it seemed to be the one that everyone congregated in. We’ve also had a Jayco Eagle, , and a few others that I can’t remember the brands. We now also have a Coachmen CrossFit van, and a 29 foot Forest River Flagstaff which we will be selling now that we have our new Vintage. The Flagstaff is awesome, but we just wanted something a bit smaller. I’d love to someday find a cute little 13 foot camper that I can call my own!! That would be my dream camper… but my new Vintage comes close!
What do you tow with? We just got a brand new Ford F150 Platnium!!! Who Hoo!!!
Do you attend rallies and what do you like the most about attending a rally? This will be our first rally / convention. I’m eager to see all the great makeovers on the vintage campers, meet other people with same interests, and looking forward to all the events.
Why did you decide to join the Tin Can Tourists? Saw it on Facebook and thought it seemed to be an interesting group and very friendly and helpful.
What are your camping plans for this year? Have one more rally with our coachmen so far, but would love to take our new Vintage out west, I’ve never been there at all. Also would love to go to New England in the Fall (my home area), and also visit Pennsylvania. Gotta squeeze all this in between working..lol I have my own business where I make Candy Bouquets, silk florals and lots of crafty stuff. It’s an adorable little gift shop but it takes time away from my camping fun. We also tend to stay local a lot here in Florida and go camping and bring our Kayaks just for quick getaways. We’re also big Disney fans, and go to Fort Wilderness camping as often as we can.
Love the red couch!
