1940 Life Magazine

Hi there, I found this photo in a 1940 edition of Life Magazine and I thought you may have an interest.

The article below the picture reads: “At the recent world convention of the Tin Can Tourists who assembled in 1200 trailers at Tampa Fla., one tourist was Poochy, a terrier who belongs to Mr. and Mrs J.F. Cannon of Youngstown Ohio. Poochy has his own model trailer, plainly marked with his name and the name of his owners. To create amusement when arriving and departing from roadside camps, Poochy is hauled in his own traveling doghouse behind the Cannon’s regular trailer.”

  1. Egads, “To create amusement when arriving and departing from roadside camps, Poochy is hauled in his own traveling doghouse behind the Cannon’s regular trailer.” Hopefully they removed the small trailer when finally going on highways.
