A Caravan Holiday in 1932
is a nostalgic look back at the early days of caravanning published by
Forgotten Titles. Len Smith, an accredited war artist in the First World
War, hires a caravan and heads off to the West Country of England sketching and making watercolors and taking photographs along the way.
This was in the era between the First and Second World Wars and before motorways and caravan sites. A farmer would allow you to pitch up in his meadow and, with some free milk still warm from the cow in the morning, would charge about one shilling for
your stay.
