Rare 1927 Gilkie Camp Trailer manufactured by E.P. Gilkison & Sons Co. of Terre Haute, Indiana.
Very unique early American folding tent camper in remarkably original condition. This trailer still retains many of its factory components, including the original:
* Wood-spoke wheels
* Axle
* Fenders
* Taillights
* Body and chassis
* Folding framework and support hardware
* Hitch components
* Vintage canvas tent assembly
This has not been heavily restored or modernized and still has the authentic look and character you would expect from a nearly 100-year-old camper.
The canvas is original/period and shows age, staining, wear, and some holes and deterioration as pictured. The trailer is being sold as an original survivor / collector piece / restoration candidate.
Would make an incredible display behind a Model T, Model A, or other early automobile, or a great addition to a vintage camper, antique vehicle, or museum collection.
Very hard to find these early campers this complete and with this many original components still intact.
