2025 Drifter Van Rally
September 25 @ 8:00 AM – September 28 @ 5:00 PM EDT
In conjunction with the 2025 Fall Gathering of the Tin Can Tourists, we are excited to welcome owners of Drifter Vans who will join us in a dedicated electric-only section (sites 1-16) of the campground and participate in the rally while also enjoying activities sponsored by the Drifter Van company (made in Michigan on Telegraph Rd in Southfield) and representatives who will be attending. The expectation is we could have 20 unique Drift Vans in attendance and that should make for a very fun and unique open house!

You must be a current Drifter Van owner to attend this event.
Registration Process
Starting on June 1st, 2025, you can register for the event by sending an email to tct1919@gmail.com with the following information:
- Names of attendees
- Drifter Van – year, make & model
- Camp Site preference and backup site – sites 1-16 are reserved for Drifter Van Owners
- Number of adults and kids (16 years old or younger)
- Is this your first time attending this event
Next step is to make your payment for the event. We are only accepting electronic payments in 2025. Send $25 per adult and $6 per child by:
- Paypal @TinCanTourists
- Credit Card – email us at tct1919@gmail.com that you’d like us to send you an invoice to pay using a credit card.
Once we receive both the registration information and the rally fee payment, we will select your campsite based on your preference and any possible conflicts with others.
Once you receive your confirmed site number by email, you will call Camp Dearborn and pay for your campsite. This year, if your site is not paid for one month ahead of the event, your site will be released.
RALLY FEE REFUND POLICY – Rally Fee less the PayPal or Credit Card fee will be refunded if cancelled on or before August 31, 2025. No refund after August 31st.
Agenda
Tentative Agenda
THURSDAY
- Social Gathering (Meet & Greet) on Thursday night. Get everyone together and we introduce those that are new to the event.
FRIDAY
- Coffee/Tea/Hot Chocolate & Treats provided in the morning
- Craft in the morning, of course this rally will include some type of painting activity
- Afternoon we typically play fun activities (yard games like cornhole, molkky, or come up with some type of challenge). We pair people with those that might not know and help build relationships.
- Friday night we would gather around for a meal, in order to get people together. Live band – Billy Mack & the Juke Joint Johnnies
We also encourage people to light up their vehicles and campsite – we call this Friday Night Lights
SATURDAY
- Coffee/Tea/Hot Chocolate & DONUTS provided in the morning
- Afternoon is an Open House & Flea Market. The public and attendees are invited to view the vehicles and shop at the flea market. Camp Dearborn has been holding a flea market in the morning that our participants can walk to and try to find a treasure. We usually get a food vendor to come for the open house.
- In the evening, we do a dessert potluck and will do some type of activity around winning prizes. Like a 50/50 or a door prize raffle.
SUNDAY
- Coffee/Tea/Hot Chocolate & Treats provided in the morning
- It’s a morning of goodbyes and cleaning up camp before we get on the road
There are always drinks and stories around the campfires each night.
Nearby is the Kensington Metro Park – which is a great place to run, bike, hike, fish, kayak, geocache, bird watch, etc. There are also fishing ponds and geocaches in Camp Dearborn. There is a golf course in both Camp Dearborn and the Metro Park. Day trips to downtown Milford are fun – a great walkable city with lots of stores and restaurants.
Rally Theme
Bob Ross and Happy Little Trees – we want to set a record for the most Bob Ross’s at a Michigan Campground!
