The planning for the 2019 Centennial Celebration is progressing.
I am focusing 100% on Historical Societies for help and the response has been encouraging. Societies in Sarasota, Arcadia, Manistee, Empire and Traverse City have indicated, pending board approval, that they will assist in the overall plans for this historic celebration and caravan.
A rough outline of the planned caravans in Florida and Michigan:
Centennial Celebration Caravan – Florida 2019 – November 7-10 @ Koreshan
Nov 10 depart to Arcadia
November 11th display at Arcadia
November 12th Depart to Avion Park for Lunch Stop
November 12th Arrive Sarasota – either Payne Park or Turtle Beach
Centennial Celebration Caravan – Michigan June 2019
June 17 Assemble at Ingham County Fairgrounds, Mason Michigan, Catered Dinner and Kickoff Party
June 18 Enjoy Mason
June 19 – depart Mason, Destination Orchard Beach State Park, Manistee Michigan – Hosts Manistee Historical Society – Catered meal and movie in historic theater
June 20 – Open House
June 21 Depart Manistee, Destination Indigo Bluffs Campground, hope to develop a “welcome” stop in Traverse City. Hosts Traverse City and Empire Historical Societies. Catered meal, Presentation on the history of TCT
June 22 Open House, Entertainment
June 23 – Stay, relax or go
So TCT will not be stopping at Interlochen state park?
