An Interview with new member Mary Anne Papiersky

Can you tell us about how you got into the vintage trailer hobby? “Couldn’t find a used small modern travel trailer so went vintage.”

What type of trailers have you owned and what do you have now? What is your dream vintage trailer?  “Currently own a 1967 Fan Roadmaster, 4th owner, already restored.  Mostly original ( new floor and refrigerator), furnace removed, replaced with small electric fireplace.”

What do you tow with? “2020 Ford Explorer. New to towing a camper so it will be short trips for now. Still working on the backing up skills. We call home in Jackson Michigan but camper sits just outside of Cadillac Michigan.”

Do you attend rallies and what do you like the most about attending a rally?  “Saw the TCT rally at Mitchell State park in Michigan earlier this month and talked with a few people who encouraged me to join TCT and get involved in the rallies.”

Why did you decide to join the Tin Can Tourists?  “Love to camp and seeing the creative ideas that people have done to restore their campers.  Best of both worlds.”

What are your camping plans for this year?  “Hoping to attend the Wilson State Park rally in Harrison Michigan in August. ”

  1. Would like to see posts regarding publications on vintage trailers like our 68 Boles Aero. We need an owners manual.
